Someone over at the Japanese FFXV Twitter account seems to be a big fan of Gladiolus...in more or less strange situations. Can't get over Gladio being completely absorbed in literature. Yeah, fits his character perfectly. XD
:) Many thanks, I'm loving what you're sending me. He's strong, tall, sexy, extremely handsome, playful and badass. Yeah he might not come off as the perfect gentlemen personality wise. But he has heart, his behavior makes him feel relatable and somewhat realistic . The last picture at the bottom is very cute. I would kiss his belly if he was real and we were couple's. ;)

You are welcome, lol. *insert the thirst is real gif here*

More importantly:
Famitsu got to play up to chapter 3 of Final Fantasy XV and asked Tabata about how far into the entire game that is. His answer:

“I believe it covers about 15% or so. The chapters go from 0 to 15,” answered Tabata.

With all the vast content in mind from just the first three chapters alone, Famitsu asks if it’ll be like that from the start up until the very last chapter.

“The entire game structure for Final Fantasy XV consists of both open-world and linear parts,” said Tabata. “The first half keeps going as an open-world, but the story in the second half’s is led by a linear path. That way, you won’t get bored of an open-world as the rest of the game gets tightened up, so we made it in a way that you’ll also get to advance through it as you have in conventional Final Fantasy games. If you play through the first half and only the main route of the second half, I believe the estimated play-time sits at around 40 to 50 hours.”

I am slightly alarmed regarding the "linear path" bit. D: But I am not entirely sure what he actually means by that. I hope the wide, open fields will still go on and we will not find ourselves in corridors again leading from one plot point to the other.
How can he drop such a bomb and not explain himself clearer? I don't want another XIII. Practically a...Versus XIII. First Grand Pulse then corridors... D:

I don't think it will be XIII type of linear where at some points it's just corridors but maybe just not as open as duscae. He might be talking about when they are in an army base or something? We know that after you complete the story it doesn't just push you back to a previous save and you can actually continue playing from after the story so there will be open world after the story at least. It could be anything like the last part of the story your in the enemy territory so your kind of in one area?

Corridors incoming! lol
Joking aside, I think the "linear path" may be a situation in which we can't go back to areas that have already been visited (e.g. Duscae, Altissia) but only proceed through the story or keep exploring the current area/region, I don't even want to imagine corridors in FFXV.
And I knew it would have 15 chapters, just like XIII had 13.

I wouldn't worry about the linearity of the second half of the game considering it's confirmed to have postgame content
What do you guys mean by "linearity"? Like are you saying how straightforward the game is or something? I don't really get it.

Omg I love the look of the buildings in Santorini I'm happy XV is going to have a place similar to it! :D
I really love the look of Lestallum as well with it being kind of industrial at the back and then the promenade at the front, I wonder where that mall will be though? Also that forest looks beautiful next to the Santorini looking place.

Yeah @Chapstick that's what I was thinking is that even if it gets linear at some point the game must open up into the open world again by the end of the game since you can explore it post game.

@KasumiLover69 We mean that in XV you can explore around an open world but it seems like at some point in the story you might be put in a small area of the world where there isn't much exploration like an Niflheim army base or something. I doubt it will be even in an enclosed army base though at XIII levels of linear though.

In other words, FFXIII but in reverse.

Linear insertion I believe started right after FFIX. It began in FFX, except there is a big difference to it. There is good linear games and not so good ones. FFX had some linear portion but the game's story was so good that it didn't even matter. You could even backtrack to certain locations and had post-content with bosses & side quests that pretty much satisfy mostly of everything.

I would speak about FFX-2, but I would be too generous and kind for calling it mediocre.

I agree, I don't want it like XIII either. This kinda worries me, but I'll wait it out for reviews before buying anything.

Today the new Dissidia character will be revealed! :)

In this live stream, which is now live:

What are your bets? I think it is going to be Caius. It is supposed to be a newcomer to the series, villains are revealed now one ofter the other and XIII (or it's triology) still needs a villain after Raitoningu already joined...and the roster of fitting villains of the whole triology is pretty meager, lol.

Well XIII's main villains were god like creatures and an actual god lol, but, FFX didn't exactly have a proper villain either since you only thought Jecht as Sin and Yu Yevon.

NO, please no!!! Everyone but Ace, he's the only Type-0 character I hate D:
I was kinda hoping for Rem or Machina to be added as Type-0 representants, since they're more relevant characters in the game, but no, stupid Ace made in.

Very anticlimactic character announcement. I don't care at all about Type-0. Have never played it and don't plan to... :/

What's Ace like that you even hate him?
