Today’s issue of Weekly Famitsu revealed Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash, the new fruit of the mind of Senran Kagura producer Kenichiro Takaki.
The game moves the seriers in the third person shooter field, but does not change the main theme, which is skimpy dressed ladies with enormous front bumpers battling each other.
The release date for Japan is March 16th, 2017, and this time around it will be PS4 exclusive. If you’re wondering, it’s not a spin-off, but it’s part of the main story of the series.
The setting is a water gun tournament that has been held since ancient times, and within its traditional rules all ninja abilities are prohibited.
Within the game, the girls of Senran Kagura will battle each other using only water guns. While they will have to leave their Ninja abilities behind, but the series’ popular finisher are definitely still in (but enhanced by the visuals of a PS4 exclusive). Story mode and online multiplayer will both be included, with 5 v 5 battles.
There are several kinds of water guns, including pistols, dual pistols, gatling guns and rifles. Skills and deathblows are set via cards, and the goal is to get opponents soaked while darting freely around the stages.
The studio is also planning to add PlayStation VR support, and tons of costumes and bikinis to unlock. There will be “30 characters + α”
Below you can check out the first screesnshots, directly from the magazine (so keep in mind that the quality is inferior to direct feed screenshots). In the meanwhile, if you’re curious about this game and the Senran Kagura series in general, keep your eyes peeled on DualShockers, because we have a surprise coming very soon.
