Wait a sec, isn't that the blonde girl (the one Tina cosplayed) just in brunette?
Also, I really have to laugh when you guys are discussing your favorite characters when they all look the exact same just with different hair and a different eye color. XD And one twin is so much hotter just because she has blue instead of red hair. x__X

Well that's Ayame who bases how she looks off of Katsuragi who she's strangely obsessed with, A lot of the base models are the same but I'm pretty sure the body proportions on the girls are different. There's also on a few girls a few small details that they have, The twins lol well... they are twins so I think you can give them a pass on that! XD

Aww such a shame... :(
And Japanese players must be blind. Hiroaki has such an amazing art style and designs beautiful female characters:

Well, if you are into the Senran Kagura cows it can't be helped I guess... :p

Wow that art is really amazing! The woman in the business outfit is gorgeous. Is there anymore of his art anywhere?

Edit: I want to use a rupaul gif so here's this for insulting them! XD

To be fair the whole "blue over red" is mostly why I prefer Pepsi over Coke lol.

Sonic over Knuckles, bitch! XD

The art style didn't really translate well in game though

I think they'd be better off just adding male characters in the actual story than in a standalone thing.
I feel like most fans wouldn't like it.
Murasame was a lovable dork and people generally like him, for the secondary character he is, but he was mostly a bonus.

For example, adding two whole schools of dudes just seems controversial and out of theme. Senran is reknown for the "Life and Hometown" motto, it's about cute girls.
Sure, some people would like it, but the majority would be against it. I don't see Senran fans throwing a tantrum since they seem more mellow, but still... Not something they want, yeah.

The most I see from Marvelous is them adding Murasame again in a super game with like, all the characters.
Maybe Kiriya (so we can finally get a VS with RN/Suzune) and Hanzo too, and Dogen for maximum old times' sake funzies. But those are even more farfetched than having Murasame again.

At this point, I'd have a whole game that is simply "Senran with guys", but a lot of male-loving people just wouldn't care. The main audience for this sort of game in Japan would be fujoshi and those simply prefer visual novels, instead of action games of sex and violence.

@Tyaren
You fired some viewtiful red hot shots there... Especially in a thread full of Senran lovers XD

So some questions which I hope they answer/reveal soon:
161006_28827_Senran-Kagura-Peach-Beach-Splash_2016_10-05-16_005_800_450.jpg

-Will you get to choose the 4 other girls on your team?
-Do each of you have to use a different gun type or can some use the same?
-If you lose (which I'm assuming means getting completely soaked?) if one of your teammates is the last one standing do you still win?
-Will you have to go to a water source to replenish your ammo? If so that's going to be some serious vulnerability.

... I think I mentioned this when DOAX3 was coming out. With respect, Male-loving people do care... I'm not sure why gamers try to speak for all gaymers and hetero-aligned women. I'm not trying to pick on you, I just hear this critique very often. Japanese gamers are much more open minded than the marketing strategies videogames employ at them. (I know I've told this silly story before but I'm going to anyway.) When I told my JP friends I wanted Ein, Hayabusa, Brad and Bass in DOAX3 their first reaction was to laugh. And then they took a second to consider it. Then they all said (paraphrasing) "Yeah that'd be cool." It wouldn't keep them from buying it, basically. Mind you this is not an isolated incident. Yes, it's anecdotal evidence but it happens quite regularly when these sorts of discussions occur because a key point of interest for these niche games is variety. And they totally understand that. I think JP's population of gamers are ready for males in SK and DOAX3 but I think developers and marketing aren't ready TBH. But, that's just my experience with it.

I say this while respecting everyone's opinion: I think it's good to be careful in distinguishing what seems to be group-think (especially when only a handful of JP fans give feedback) and consider that JP fans -- even in niche games like these -- enjoy variety and diversity. It seems kind of counter-intuitive, I know. In fact -- in many cases -- we find the more specifically niche, it invites more types of people with a core interest -- let's say battle stripping. But with difference in subjects/objects.

@RenderingStar @lotr9690 You guys planning on getting this? Maybe we can play it online together :-D
If you are? Then, yes. :)

Yeah, I can't wait!~ You might be able to get the same sooner tho since you have access to the Japanese version so that's a plus for you too. I wonder if I should get the digital version or disc.

I'm kinda happy they won't be using their actual ninja styles in this game since that made SKEV very unbalanced, now everyone will be on equal footing. Now all I'll have to worry about is what hairstyle and swimwear/clothing my chosen girls will wear. XD And I hope footwear will be a separate slot so I can wear heel sandals with the various options.

I'm speaking out of experience like you do. I guess it's not much experience but it left me a big impression.

There are ppl like me and you who want male fanservice to be more visual, but we are a minority, a niche of a niche.
My friends (hetero girls like me, but with diffent taste) prefer much more stuff like Diabolik Lovers and Free!!, and while Free!! does have plenty half naked men, it doesn't have any shameful stripping and fetish show-off clothing, it's more a show of beauty and power rather than cute embarassed men. I asked my friends of what they think about this sort of thing, and they said it makes the men look weak (which they don't like) and that they prefer it if there is a main girl character to be wooed. My two friends are just two but their taste is very common among anime fans, as shown by all the otome series.

Of course this is not everyone, but it's what probably a lot of people would rather have instead of a Senran with males, it's the majority, at least as of now, that's why I said most wouldn't care.

Gay guys buy games too, but how many are there to be a good market?
That said, they are beginning to cater to this sort of taste (more common in gay men), at least in fighting games, as shown by DOA5 and Hot Ryu, so in a way is definitely not out of the question.
We will probably have to wait more years to have people fully tap on this market, but it definitely could happen. Just not with Senran.

I also have opposite anectodal evidence to yours...
I have seen far too many people react badly to supposedly having guys in DOAX3, and some people react badly to guys in Senran too.
My IRL friend who lent me Deep Crimson found the inclusion of Murasame useless, because he said it was a game about sexy girls and so who the hell would buy him, and a guy in the DOAX3 politely told me to fuck off when I said I would like to have the guys in the game.
The last game in the Monster Monpiece series with pirates was marketed as "not having any (human) male characters". LoveLive does not show any adult or teenage males, in any of its media.
Back in the early 2010s, male fans of IM@S threathened to boycott Namco for adding a male idol group, Jupiter, in the main game.
I also suppose Uppers did not sell to the fanservice crowd for having too many guys around the supposedly ugly looking girls.
Yes, a lot of people don't care, but the market does not listen to those, because they would buy the game regardless. They'd rather play it safe and not lose any customers while not gaining enough new ones.

I really want people to prove me wrong and show me there is a market for this and that we will get a sexy action game with guys stripping eachother, so if you can, please do.

I think your message accidentally duplicated. And yeah, it'd be pretty interesting if in a SK game they gender swapped the girls, Miyabi and Daidouji would basically be the easiest to make

Lol at the bear dancing with them. It looks good, I love how the openings are just the right amount of over the top. Also yay Kafuru is in the trailer!

Am I imagining things or does the art style look a bit more grown up? Especially in the CG scenes the girls don't look like 6 year olds with gigantic melons anymore. Well, the gigantic melons are still there but at least they don't look like this anymore.

They definitely improved the animation and artstyle, the eyes are not as wide anymore as seen by the thumbnail and they look more mature, I guess they're taking notes from TN and going for a slightly more mature and sophisticated sexy image instead of just simply cute. Are you gonna get the game Tyaren? I think you'd really like Yumi and Ikaruga, they're very modest and content on not dressing over the top and gaudy, Yomi I still think would definitely suit you. :p

I'm praying they add that bow Ryona wore as an accessory, it'd make me more willing to keep her default hair and not switch to Kagura's shaggy hime cut, but I may just use Ikaruga's swept up bun hime cut.

To be perfectly honest, I'm disappointed in the opening. It's a step up from EV's, but...that just means it's not my least favorite OP in the series, really.

I've always wanted one of those square melons, so cute.

And yeah now that you mention it the way the girls look the eyes etc look more mature so that's good. I guess they might be maturing some of the characters. I can see certain ways the graphics have improved.

Yeah hopefully there's lots of accessories, I'm sure the bow will be in there.
