Final Fantasy Thread

Wasn't the point of switching to Unreal Engine 4 and making VII Remake shorter "parts" than one full game so that it wouldn't take years to complete and by in peoples hands? Lol

Last thing they need is another VersusXIII/XV

I'm convinced they develop the games within two weeks of release and then just let them sit there for half a decade because I swear It takes Square insane amounts of time to release their games. They need to start only revealing games when It's within one year of release. I swear FF16 will be announced In like 2018 and won't be released for 10 years.

he has a super long blade and knee length hair and the power to zone to great effect...how badass is that?? XD
Not badass enough. At best, those qualifications alone would pass as a double entendre for yaoi fanfiction. If you want an actual badass villain, get to know his father...

Kuja is good, but Sephiroth shits all over him imo. Plus if he was really the best villain he'd have a lot more notoriety in this thread, Seph has alot more of that from when he was revealed.
Popularity doesn't equal quality.

>.> I didn't mean that as a double entendre, but I see how it could be taken that way now xD. And I'd say he's probably more infamous than popular given everyone's negative thoughts on him. Even I thought he was lame at one point honestly

Wait wait wait wait. I just had to read the past couple posts before this page because this thread is hilarious, and some people here call themselves FF fans? what in the world?

Starting with Kuja. This villain hailed from one of the top 5 FFs that's still top 5 till this day. Why are people disappointed from this is beyond me. If Noctis didn't appeared so what? people have to remember that this is a damn VANILLA build. It's the starting arcade port that's testing the waters for more to come. It's the new build for newcomers and past players to get their feet wet in the game. If people want Noctis *He will come* but don't expect for him to be in early first reveals when Noctis is a newbie to the damn series, he's not a veteran character. He does not get any special privileges because you said so. (@Awesmic isn't FF9 like your favorite game or some shit? I'm surprised you didn't make a post about it considering that the thread needed some sort of key surprise on how well this game did.)

Nomura helped creating the story of FFVI, FFVII, FFVIII without being a director with Kitase that performed tremendously well and even the KH series. This guy got his issues like any other devs but what he put out together with the team was no damn joke. He is under the palms of Square Enix who would rather play with their cellphones at lunch break than sitting that ass down to work like the good ol days of Square Soft when they weren't being hilarious pessimists to their every day social work base. Nomura is not a man you want to sleep on. Shit, he was an actual director of FFXV until 2013 but I rather have him than Tabata because he is highly more believable to making it good even if it takes centuries to finally put out the damn game.

Personally I don't give a damn who appears from the games at this very time, but you can't be surprised with the outcome here because there is a reason for them and they are "valid" reasons. I rather have Beatrix than Kuja real early in Dissidia, but Kuja gets his credit so we have to give him that.

You've got me mixed up with someone else... FF6 is my favorite.

However, alongside that, FF4 and FF9 are the other two among my top three... or at least it'll stay that way if FF15 doesn't shape up with its DLC expansions.

It'll definitely shape up with it's DLC but not intended in it's initial design, life will certainly be extended. So will you call that your top 3 even if it doesn't surpass the ones from the past? or are we looking to be just as gullible? Shit, I can be gullible too and possibly throw in a bit of naiveté for giggles, just give me the right time and place to fall for such matters.

Thank god I don't have a favorite FF because I'd be bias as hell if I did have one. At least with the added portion on siding with logic on why Y/X FF game while providing a reason for it.

No. But I will remember it for its many, many similarities to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I was able to point out...

Plus I have an unopened Ultimate Edition. Should be a good sell in a decade or two.

Yes you did point it out on you, though still Final Fantasy and not something I want to dig into unless it's actually breaking the 4th wall or them actually agreeing to that reference so I will not respond to that.

Alright enough with these posts, I want the DLC where I can challenge the CEO already and Gladio's episode.

Kuja theme is pretty boss. Not really a fan of the character though.
Is it? I'm gonna have to give it a listen when I'm on the bus ride home in five minutes, I'm a VG fan. XD He looks fun overall gameplay wise so I'll keep my hopes up that he'll be fun to play on console.

Are there any speculations as to where Gladio went on his personal journey? I may have missed the details on his absence, but I've been thinking about it.

Not sure, what we do know is that it's within the timeframe where the party visits Cape Caem. Gladio mentions of him going away providing a dialogue choosing response with asking on how long he would be gone for etc etc. That's about it.

Yeah from the end of chapter 6 where Gladio says he has some business of his own to deal with while the guys handle the boat situation. He's away until around the middle of chapter 7 when you go to the reactor and fight some daemons.

I'm really looking forward to all the DLC episodes. Prompto and Ignis' especially for numerous reasons.
