Kazumis whole character is a past character though lol Shes already dead by Tekken 1. They could add Tekken 2 era Michelle for the main game and have her as part of the Tekken 2 era part of story mode.

I personally dont care eitherway since my main favourites have been in the game since day 1, I'm just pointing out possibilities.

At this point I'm not counting any characters out of the game. Harada used a very specific statement by saying "we do not sell classic Tekken characters". This leaves the door open for free DLC characters, or more character reveals in the next 4 months. Also I remember some months back either Harada or Michael Murray saying something about wanting to keep some character surprises for the launch of the game, which could also mean in game character unlocks.

Interesting that theres no Ghost Battle mode, unless they integrate ghosts into Arcade Mode.

The menu still isn't final so it's probably not in yet, but if it isn't it'll probably be like T5's arcade battle since you really don't need a ghost battle mode when you can just adjust the difficulty like in TTT2 and the game will pump out ghosts of a certain rank of that difficulty, it saves time.

I hope they show how customization mode looks soon and how close you can zoom in on the character models!

Michelle "old as fuck"?? She was in her 20s in T1&2 just like Nina she'd be in her 40s in T7 if "old as fuck" characters like Nina, Law and Paul can make it in I'm sure Michelle could easily.

They could also pull a Kazumi and have her past self as a character

Harada wants a smaller roster and wants to stray away from clones. Julia will make it long before Michelle. She looked the way she did in T2 because the game wasn't canon/realistic so they didn't need an excuse as to why she in her 20's. Nina's is Tekkens poster girl. It's like having DOA without a ninja or Soul Calibur without Ivy

For some reason I hadn't been getting alerts for this thread but wow that's some awesome stuff to come back to! Eliza! I never got to play her before so that will be interesting and then there's story mode which looks interesting so far. I'm hoping Anna gets in before it comes out.

Looks like Miharu and Jun may be those additional characters that'll be in the season pass after all

I hope Miharu does come in, I loved her more than Xiaoyu...the bikini and shorts and hat were cute along with her personality...and uh I liked her short hair too. >.> I'd use her a bit if she was added, I loved her schoolgirl stomp and item move. Mokujin I can do without, he's kinda a waste of a character imo, we'd already have a random select, we don't need a walking character one. XD I never liked him one bit, I'd prefer Combot from TTT2 since you could assign him specific moves and throws.

Yeah I liked Miharu as well, Her outfit so cute. They could add her really easily, I'm hoping there will be a lot of customization options as well so that there's variety. I think since Mokujin is such a usual character for Tekken he should be in this though.

According to Harada the DLC characters are likely brand new after all he said he doesn't want to sell classic characters as DLC.

So either they're not in at all after lainch or free via update like Tag 2s characters

Miharu isn't classic tho, only Mokujin is so he's happily ruled out!☆ I wouldn't mind them using discarded designs like Eliza, the zombie bride looked interesting, and they could always add Shin.

Well, Miharu could possibly be considered a classic since she did make her debut in T4 (even though she was just a palette swap for Xiaoyu in the game like Eddy was for Christie), which was...over a decade ago. Either way: If your favorite character was a classic one, and if they aren't in the roster at launch, you're pretty much getting the axe. My prayers go out to the Lei, Anna, Zafina and Chang players (I could care less about Craig Marduk though lol)

Anna is gonna be in, how many times do I gotta say it? XD I'll even make a bet on it too need be. And Shin wasn't bad imo, he had potential(He was also voiced by David Vincent, the VA behind Eliot's English voice), he was just killed off early in the movie by that twat Heihachi's back breaker...fuck him! >_< I wasn't able to really see much of him but he could be a solid addition if they used his original backstory and tweaked it a bit, like cut his connections with Alisa and Xiaoyu(They both had crushes on him) and his secondary outfit could be his transformed state before he was killed....

And you got me there with Miharu, but then again she wasn't a canon fighter, Neither was Eddy in that tournament but he's pretty much classic. If Miharu is popular enough(Japan loves their sexy KASGs) then she could return, just look at Eliza who was originally a one off non canon character.

...I hope the mode will be the mokujin festival from Tekken Revolution with turbo mode and tons of gold rewards for beating the silver mokujin and kingjins!

I think the newbies could be Ganmi-Chan (the dev really wants her in, plus she'd replace) and maybe run in the mill old man (could be a Wang replacement). I really want Zombie Bride, she has such a unique concept plus she's said to be Miguel's dead sister.

Considering what Harada said about DLC characters its very unlikely Jun is DLC.

You dont get more classic than Jun,(except maybe Michelle since she was in T1) if she's in she'll probably unlockable somehow or as a Story Mode character only.

That won't happen, that was just non canon. And I won't be bothered if Jun doesn't return, people forget that not every fighter has to actually return in the next installment of a game. Jun is kinda like Wang and Baek and possibly Michelle, they've fought in the older tournaments and they really have no reason to fight anymore, plus Jun would be in the same age boat as Michelle since they kept her young in TT2 despite her age but that was non canon so it didn't have to make sense. Plus her appearance in TTT2 didn't feel genuine imo, it was almost like she wasn't there and she was merely just an illusion in most of her scenes and appearances.

Hopefully they give the hairstyle and clothing options that they had in T5-T5DR and T6 that lets you customize say Julia to resemble her mother, they did that in T5 since you could make Asuka look like Jun. And they'll probably give them the outfits of those not returning, like Hwoarang got Baek's business suit in T7 basically confirming he wasn't coming back anytime soon.
