The detail is indeed amazing. I think we are at a point were the game models have higher resolution skin than actual humans, lol. XD
Aloy in general is probably one of the highest quality video game character models ever created. Same goes for the word. How does it look so good? Even in the middle of the night:

not gonna lie, game has amazing art direction. Usually open world games are really boring to look at, coming across as more barren and lifeless than anything else, but that looks like everything was lovingly crafted, and each pic you took likes like an intentionally designed painting

Was on the French Tekken wiki and lemme just say...it shits on the normal English one! XD it has better descriptions...they perfectly described how I would describe Lili's hime cut, on the English wiki they just said she had long honey blonde hair with bangs. -_- But anyway I did a quick comparison of Lili over the years and I gotta say...she's come a long way!

Actually, after Tekken 6 I see hardly any steps forward anymore. All that has changed is lighting. I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually the exact same character model, for example her dress, that they've reused for the last 3 games. They just changed the textures and improved shaders and lighting. :/

Here's the differences I've noticed:

☆Her dress has gotten more crisp, not so much in TTT2 but they resumed in T7.

☆Her hair has been modified: Her T5 hair had two different sidelock lengths and her hair was made more static to focus more in the hair behind her back which was made of two thick layers. T6 made it more flowy and dynamic but almost DOA5 loose hair quality as a sacrifice. TTT2 fixed this and was her best hair depiction to date, T7 made it look more thick and more visually appealing but the sacrifice because of the UE4 is weird physics(♡.♡) and less flow due to basically freezing her TTT2 tresses in place. Her sidelocks are more coiffed and inward and hardly move but her fringe is improved.
☆Her boots were pretty clunky earlier buy have gotten more natural looking. Her scarf also got physics in all her depictions bar TTT2.

☆The ruby on her ascot tie is at its best in T7 and gleams.

☆Her face was imo best in TTT2,second best in T7. Worst was her T5 face.


I can compare Jin too but I need his shirtless T7 pic, hehe

Horizon's cauldrons are among the most impressive stuff I have seen in Video gaming yet. They are so alien, so beautifully detailed and menacing.

You mean, I am good at camera angles. ;) All shots in here are framed, zoomed in/out, tilted and set in the right light by me, Chapstick's photos too for that matter. Did you think we were just screenshotting cutscenes? XD

Oh really? Well then yes ypu do the angles good XD. I just thought the game had a dynamic camera like Remember Me or something for a cinematic experience haha

We focusesd on pretty scenery and hands, now let's take a look at Aloy.
This is really the only outfit of hers that's sexualized in some way (which is a good thing) and that highlights her feminine body shape.

I like the fact that they gave her a muscular stomach. Not a six pack, but very toned and zero fat. In general Aloy is very lean and muscular, she has also very pronounced triceps. I guess, that's what you get when shooting the bow all day.

The lighting and shaders are really well done. Very realistic looking yet still stylistic.

Another nice detail, Aloy actually has crooked bottom teeth...

New Dragon Quest XI screens were released! We can make a nice comparison of how the game looks on PS4 and 3DS:

Shows, that tech isn't everything. The 3DS version looks imo a lot nicer and more charming. The PS4 version looks sterile and uninspired. Toriyama's art style better sticks as close as possible to its comic/manga look or it just turns out weird...
I'm still excited for this game...if it ever comes out in the West.
By the way, a Switch version is also announced, but we haven't seen anything of it so far. It will very likely be a port of the PS4 version with dropped detail and resolution. I doubt they will create a third graphics build for it.

I'm really excited for it, I'm a fan of the series! Wish the protagonist was cuter tho like the DQ heroes 2 purple hair guy. -_-

I think the character design in general is super bland in this game. Especially the main character (with his imo dumb hair) is pretty forgettable:

I have that game! the first screenshot you showed I mean, the king is Borya, the girl in red is Aurora(voiced by the English VA for Cammy in street fighter Caitlin Glass), the middle is Luceus(I like him, his personality like Aurora is cute since he's very content on strategy and he's very innocent), right is Isla(she's not a tease despite her pose, she's very intelligent and seems to like Luceus a bit and helps them get into a secret village towards the end of the game. I hate her style tho since she uses a boomerang) and the slime is Healie, he's so cute and always makes me smile. XD My other favorites are Jessica(I use her alot), Maya(Her too ♡.♡), Terry(He's a lovable dick), Yangus(Hated him at first but he grew on me, he's surprisingly cute and headstrong), and then I like Kiryl but I never use him since he's one of the worst characters in the game on the battlefield.

I'm unfamiliar with the characters in the bottom shot but I only like the two in the middle, the male protagonist especially and the girl is cute too although she got the worst eyes in the game, I always somewhat disliked those eye types Toriyama draws since they look so basic -_-

Trust me tho, the graphics look much more clear and better on an actual TV screen.

The problem with Toriyama's style is all the characters wind up looking the same. He recycles character designs constantly, only changing minor details to call it a new character each time. like that kid in the first pic IS Future trunks. Goku's hair recycled for the second pic, then last pic has Bulma, although poinst for using a newer hairstyle on the purple haired guy in hte last pic.
