I am hoping this will be indeed a complete reboot of the series, in which they make Kratos a more relatable character (that presentation makes it seem that way at least) and where they tone down the violence a notch. Like it was in that presentation it was imo alright. They actually didn't show the killing blow to the troll's head and they handled the killing of the stag in a tasteful and touching way. You really don't need to see how Kratos literally splits someone's head or gouges someone's eyes out for pure shock value That's just vile and tacky and imo a sign for cheap games that have not much else value. :/
Yeah, I wonder why you find MK's violence more bearable. Maybe because it is even more over the top, to a point that it is comical?
Another game that I really want to see more of this E3, but that also wasn't something I was a big fan of before, is The Last of us Part II. The teaser trailer (all in-game graphics) looked insanely good:
I don't like these bleak, violent post apocalypse settings either. Part 1 was apparently a really, really good game though.
