I am hoping this will be indeed a complete reboot of the series, in which they make Kratos a more relatable character (that presentation makes it seem that way at least) and where they tone down the violence a notch. Like it was in that presentation it was imo alright. They actually didn't show the killing blow to the troll's head and they handled the killing of the stag in a tasteful and touching way. You really don't need to see how Kratos literally splits someone's head or gouges someone's eyes out for pure shock value That's just vile and tacky and imo a sign for cheap games that have not much else value. :/

Yeah, I wonder why you find MK's violence more bearable. Maybe because it is even more over the top, to a point that it is comical?

Another game that I really want to see more of this E3, but that also wasn't something I was a big fan of before, is The Last of us Part II. The teaser trailer (all in-game graphics) looked insanely good:

I don't like these bleak, violent post apocalypse settings either. Part 1 was apparently a really, really good game though.

Yeah I'm hoping that they take Kratos in a more relatable direction cause in the previous games... He was pretty awful to me.

And yeah for MK it seems more silly comical than GOW's straight up horrible awful gore. That's just me though lol.

Yeah I watched a let's play of the last of us and it was okay imo and yeah its a typical post apocalyptic setting of destroyed cities with overgrown landscapes and zombies. Kind of interested in the sequel but not really much at least yet.

The graphics aren't bad imo...the characters are hot, the girls have better curves, the guys(Case in point my sexy avatar of Claudio the hottest guy in tekken) are more cut and built and muscular than ever, and the stages are well done, and they did a good job with the character redesigns. There was some room for improvement in a few areas but overall I love the game, I've been playing treasure battle for the longest(I'll be playing online once I unlock all the items and when they fix the current issues) and it still amazes me how far the graphics came....man, the characters are so hot.... seriously, i can't even look at my lili screenshots of her and her legs and stomach and long hair or even my claudio avatar without getting all hot and bothered and worked up, it's a win from me

They also did a great job fixing up faces and stuff, characters I didn't even consider hot back in TTT2 I'm taking a second take at, especially Nina, Eddy, Steve and Leo...although tbh I wish Leo was a guy, the fact that she's a girl ruins my interest in her appearance, can't stand most reverse traps or traps

Isn't Leo supposed to be male in this game? They are referring to Leo as a "he" in his game profile. There was a thread about this on Neogaf some days ago.
When you go into the customization menu with him/her, what kind of clothes does he/she have and what body type when undressed?

Well tbh I always thought the whole Leo is a girl TTT2 thing was just Harada joking since that game is non canon. "He" has pretty much all the male character options but "he" also has access to some female items like the kung fu top and pink sweater and mittens...idk, because if the whole androgynous thing I've just never been into "him". I need proof he's a guy, like a shirtless option or something otherwise I won't be interested. It's really a shame, "he" looks quite cute in T7, there's been times I've seen his win poses and just stared since how he looks...that shaggy hair and face tho

But the CG for Leo looks to feminine for me to think "he's" male. My sister likes "him" tho and she tends to dress Leo like a boy but she does color the shirts pink and stuff like that

For the record, several of the things Tyaren picked on Tekken for are things I've said of the "recent" Soul Calibur games in the past, and why I think they look so fucking horrible. But some blind barbarians still insist that those games "look good." Because they're blind. And barbarians.

I don't think Namco knows how to do any better these days, which is a shame because SC2 looked great for its day.

... I mean the whole androgynous thing is a part of Leo as a character at this point. I wouldn't want them to remove that: ( Especially If it was just so people could be sure of their attraction towards He/Her ) Honestly they've gone back and forth so much with Leo being male or female that at this point I just don't care. ( although that might be cheating cause I didn't care much anyway. :p )

But some blind barbarians still insist that the those games "look good." Because they're blind. And barbarians.

...* looks back at posts in SC thread o_o *

Alright, graphics and Tekken nerds, get some popcorn, sit back and watch Digital Foundry's graphics and tech analysis of the Tekken series throughout the ages:

Imo a wasted effort to do this video for a most of the time unattractive and dated looking game series like Tekken. :/ And that's not even considering the really sloppy console port of Tekken 7, which is imo a slap in the face of all devoted Tekken fans on console.

So, which RPG has the most beautiful world design?

The Witcher 3...

Horizon Zero Dawn...

or Final Fantasy XV...

I haven't played it and may never but I would say Horizon does since it has the most detail in the smallest things, Final Fantasy is a close second

I haven't played it and may never...

What's your problem with the game actually? XD

My ranking would be:
Horizon Zero Dawn>The Witcher 3>>>Final Fantasy XV
Horizon and The Witcher 3's worlds feel so much more alive and atmospheric than FFXV's. They are also much bigger and more varied.

You are seriously missing out, KasumiLover, if you base your game purchases only on how Japanese they are and how "hot and bothered" you get by the main protagonists....

... Lol I really hope the reason for not playing Horizon isn't about Ally but its up to you I guess. :p

And for me I'd say that while I loved them all its in this order.

Witcher - Horizon - XV

Witcher and Horizon are closer to each other since I think they both do a good job of fleshing out their back story's I just think the witcher has a more developed and interesting one.

FFXV is further behind because we then barely anything about the setting either in it's current era or the past ones. We also don't learn about the creatures of the world or its cities.

Oh the game doesn't really appeal to me, the protagonist isn't really my style and I'm not much a fan of the setting

And wha?? I don't base purchases on how hot someone is, it's not like all my fighting game mains and favorite characters are picked based on appearance or how hot their bodies are and if they make me excited XD

Remember, the question was about the the most beautiful game world. ;) I do agree with you though, that The Witcher 3 has the more fleshed out world. There really isn't any competition to the game in that regard. Horizon's world is top notch, but The Witcher 3's world is just in a league of its own.

What setting would that be? Because I remember you liking Nier Automata very much, which is also a post apocalyptic setting. There's also the overgrown city ruins and desert areas and the sci-fi elements etc.

I'm not even asking what you don't like about Aloy, lol...

With nier I like how the character designs and story kinda meshed with the setting which is what really made me love the game

And then I also liked this about it:

Fotor_149455444296760.jpg

And the game also had very dark music which is my favorite type
My favorite track in the game, it plays at the most appropriate part of the game although it involves my two favorite characters which makes it even sadder...

1:40 Is my favorite part, that beautiful acapella conveys the hopelessness and despair of Simone which I loved plus Simone does this during that part since she fights in rhythm to her music

Now that I thought about it, the setting of Nier Automata and Horizon are actually extremely similar. A postapocalyptic world, we don't know yet why and how it got destroyed, but we will find out in the game. You have to fight machines that are now populating the earth to save humanity. Places you explore are also literally the same. Overgrown city ruins, deserts, rusty old world facilities and crazy sci-fi structures. And there is a twist to Aloy's origin that also is pretty similar to 2B and 9S. To say one isn't a fan of the setting of just one of the games while liking the other really is a strange statement.

now that I've put some time into Nier I really do suggest it to you @Tyaren. I was not impressed by the demo at all but I'm really enjoying the game and its story.

& since this is the artstyle & graphics thread here's a gif (I did edit this so it's not exactly as it appears in game)
