Playable DOA6 Demo at EVO Japan 2019

Artboard_2.png

All 26 characters in Dead or Alive 6 will be playable February 15th and 16th during EVO Japan 2019 at the Fukuoka International Center! There will not only be a demo of the latest build, but streamed exhibition matches with 4 skilled players to better showcase the mechanics. Team NINJA's Yohei Shimbori will also be giving a presentation with new information pertaining to DOA6.

Siologica and Teru Rock will be making special appearances at the EVO exhibition. They are both accomplished fighters with offline tournament wins and should be able to offer plenty of information in their matches. There should be opportunities for players to see if adjustments have been made to the current system like the ground game, which has been seen by many as incomplete at this point in time.

You can peruse the event information at the Japanese DOA6 Official Website, and you can expect an update here at Free Step Dodge when the stream schedule is announced. Hopefully a road map for offline tournaments is announced by Team NINJA at EVO Japan since DOA6 comes out March 1st and nothing has been confirmed yet.

I saw Master post this yesterday, as well

Yeah they gave incredible tournament presence at the last event. I also look forward to Shimbori's presentation as I want more revealing information for the gameplay and some type of road map for offline tournaments. If they want to make this an esport game it would be crazy to reveal nothing for future events.

DOA6 before EVO Japan:

Pros:
- Beautiful characters and move animations
- More move variety than ever before
- Replay value is far more apparent out of the box than DOA5 Vanilla
- Plenty of characters to start off.

Cons:
- Still nothing on the ground game
- Graphical polish is needed in some areas. Especially the bigger stages, and things like dust and ash that just seems to go everywhere needs more sustainability.
- Netcode could be awful. I don't care about online play much, but I understand why people would be conce

I hope winter brawl gets a copy to play as well

That would be awesome, but at least DOA5 is still making its appearance. The DOA5 last tournament thing is starting to sound like Cher's farewell tour that went on for yeeeeeaaaars.

Next week DOA will be shown at EVO Japan. Maybe we will get a roadmap or schedule of some kind. I want esports news now that the base game is announced.

i hope theres a fight location where theres water nothing else so everyone would be soaked lol or one in a supercar dealership as there fighting they can buy a car

Talked to Master about EVO Japan tonight, unfortunately he doesn't have a stream link yet, but will post one soon. 9 PM Pacific Time is when it starts.

I've also talked to several peeps on Twitter that will be there to play the game. Requested demonstrations of NiCO's complete throw set and Raidou and Bass gameplay. We will see if they listen in a few days. :cyborg::nico:
