Pessimistic = Realistic? The demand for these characters is already known.
And jokes are enjoyable but the same ones tend to get old.
Same ones? I thought my joke was pretty original, what with the 4 obviously haphazardly placed and disproportionately sized character select portraits. May as well have been an official TN roster. The topic I was addressing was that the roster looks goofy by TN's own hand, so I simply filled in the empty space to make it all fit. I was hoping someone would have caught onto that. Or maybe it was just too specific and i'm insane, who knows.
Anyway, again you go with the pessimism. Even if there are people on twitter asking for Ein (actually there aren't, so really - make your voice heard. I hit @teamninjastudio every day with Leon/Ein/Tengu/Raidou/Genra requests, and only today saw multiple tweets of people wondering where the hell Leon was), it shouldn't influence your own voting power. Being realistic is one thing, but being pessimistic and realistic is another. The reality of the fact, as another poster stated - plans for DLC or patches or whatever-the-dick for DOA5 have already been drawn out, likely months ago when the game actually went Gold.
I find it more than troublesome that no one actually understands the scope of what exactly Team Ninja did by not revealing Leon and Ein (i'm still waiting lol). People in forums typing away shit like "oh they were cut cause they were clones or they were bad or who cares" are obviously just meatheads towards the subject, because it implies that TN would have been entirely incapable of making those characters unique, when they've been doing it for years.
This specific case of simply dropping characters has never happened in a fighting game outside of Taka-Arashi, who was introduced in Virtua Fighter 3, forgotten for VF4 and vanilla VF5, only to return in
(shocker) an updated version of VF5. Even then though, Taka-Arashi is different from Ein and Leon. It would be more like, Christie in DOA3 having disappeared from DOA4 and DOA

, only to show up in DOA5. Team Ninja isn't Capcom. There aren't 80+ DOA fighters like there are Street Fighters, waiting to be mixed and matched. Of course Team Ninja actually understands that people enjoy characters like Ein and Leon, and of course they're preparing them for some kind of formal release.
There is no "realistic" or "pessimistic" way about this specific situation, it's unheard of it and frankly frustratingly invigorating more than it is disabling.
There are a hundred and one possibilities for everything, so it's probably best to take a hundred and two answers into consideration. Mope about the 101 problems, or see the 102nd problem that they need to stop pissing people off, because we obviously can't tell if it's intentional or not.
tl;dr: Even if it's a secret, it doesn't hurt to just ask. If Ein and Leon turn out to be on the disc, or pre-planned, it doesn't hurt to have requested their return. That's an "IF" though. Another if could be, what if they really, mind-numbingly thought Ein and Leon were dumb? I'm sure asking them to return a character at that point would convince them otherwise.
can't lose.
