If there's anything I've learned about DOA select screens, the ninjas are always gonna occupy the sides.
Ha ha, yup. Don't know why, but that's just how it will always be.

It's so they are default picks. P1 is Kasumi, P2 is Ayane. If you want Hayate or Hayabusa you just have to push left or right once to switch columns and push down once to change rows.

Edit: Oh my god, finally got through all 19 pages O_O.

You guys really make sure that I don't get any sleep around here do you...

Because some posts had to be removed due to people acting like babies.

Edit: my apologies to babies for the insult.

So get more mods? There are a couple people on here all the time that would make good mods and with the site picking up traffic you might need the help.

Is Moomooji that female ninja from Ninja Gaiden? Why would people want a 5th ninja in the game? Ask for something original

Agreed. One ninja is enough, yet we get four and some people still want even more? TN decided that two karate practitioners and two sambo practitioners was too much, but four ninjutsu practitioners is fine? How does that make any sense?

Because ninjas are super cool and flashy, obviously.

Well, the company is called "Team Ninja." It makes sense that they like to use ninjas.
Personally, due to their speed and stylish (not bound by imitation of specific martial arts practice, more liberal and less confined to reality) combat/flow, I happen to favor the ninja characters' playstyle.

I would like the cut Sambo man back, though.

Actually DOA5 has 5 ninjas, Alpha 152 is also a ninja.

Still can't get with Mortal Kombat, that game has about 14 ninjas. I'd rather see Sonia make the character roster than Momiji to be honest.
Edit: I don't mind seeing Leon on the game's roster as well, I'm not doubting him not to be in until the game is release and that TN had made a confirmation (unless they made one already) I also would love to have Tengu back as well.

I have no interest in Sonia making a presence in DOA.
I hear she was in Dimensions as an NPC, but I haven't played it.

Thing is, I actually have proof that he actually wanted Momiji in the game.

Today NowGamer was invited to take a peek behind the development curtain over at Team Ninja to get the latest on PlayStation 3 slash-fest Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.

Following the adventures of super-ninja Ryu Hayabusa throughout the world, Sigma was the first Ninja Gaiden to arrive on the PS3. Having received a fairly impressive response, franchise fans are expecting big things from the sequel and according to Team Ninja producer, Yosuke Hayashi they won’t be disappointed as he claims the team is trying to position Sigma 2 as “a culmination of the action game genre”.

The choice to release different versions of the franchise has long been questioned by the game-playing public and just as with the original, Sigma 2 will be a PS3 exclusive. When quizzed about releasing games simultaneously across all formats Hayashi said: “It is something we will look into in the future – our stance is to look at ways for players of each platform to get maximum enjoyment from the game.”

Violence has always been a hot topic when it comes to Ninja Gaiden, some love the cartoon blood that spews forth while others find it rather excessive, and it appears as if the more conservative of gamers will win out this time as the gore levels have been turned down from 11 to 1 with no blood on offer. “When we developed Ninja Gaiden 2 we put the emphasis on violence, but since last year the number of games featuring high levels of violence increased, so rather than do something everyone else was doing, we’ve tried to take a different approach and focus on the cool aspects in this game.”

Other interesting titbits revealed concerned the multiplayer aspect of the game, including the fact that Sigma 2 is to feature online score boards for co-op play, co-op missions will be completely separate to the main campaign and two new characters are to be introduced.

The new characters will have their very own story arcs that crossover with Ryu’s and the good news for fans of Rachel (who starred in the original Sigma) is that one of the new characters, Momiji, is female and featured in Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword on the DS version. Team Ninja even confessed that if she proves popular she could appear in the next iteration of Dead Or Alive.

Signing off, the developer said that as well as changes to personnel and co-op play, improvements have also been made to the camera and save point system, which both courted some criticism in the original Sigma.

Check in again soon for more on the development of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and an exclusive one-on-one with Team Ninja. http://www.psu.com/forums/showthread.php/199899-Ninja-Gaiden-Sigma-2-Developer-Update

That article was from years ago, I remember reading it and being excited. Guess what though, people change their minds ALL THE TIME. Time to move on.

What are you talking about? Team NINJA never changes their mind! I mean, 4 months ago they were talking about how they wanted to bring out the inner beauty of their females. So they weren't just pin-up models with big boobs and how the game would be more mature in that regard...
