TGS Launch trailer !

So if that's the case, that means there's only 1 movie ending to unlock because Arcade mode doesn't have movie endings at all just unlocking costumes and stuff?
If that's true, Teamninja has slacked on content even more.

There a ton more to the story mode this time. This format allows for far more cut scenes and a more comprehensive storyline.

25 mins of CG movies of nonsense over 3 hours of an actual story that makes sense. Seriously some people have some odd standards.
If it's that much and it's good quality, then we'll rejoice. It's just not my experience with games these days.

I don't mind not having individual character endings if story mode is sufficient. After beating arcade mode a second time with a certain character in previous games, I always find myself just pressing start to skip the ending movie.

Plus, the only ending I liked in DOA4 was Brad Wong's hallucinogen ending.

I put off watching just to find out Christie rapes Eliot is the spoiler.

Is that a stage where Jann Lee and Lei Fang looks like they are going to square off? It transitions to the other stage where Tina and Mila are, so no clue. Either way looks like a great one and reminiscent of Lei Fang's ending FMV in DOA4...dat blouse.

It looks like Jann Lee and Lei Fang die in a train crash? That's what I'm seeing here. And Kasumi. But there's no way they'd kill her off. And if they did. It would of not appeared in a trailer.

its only rape if you remember it.

Not if they don't!

Wait, wut?

Either way, trailer looks great. I am sure not as deep as how Netherrealm is really pushing story in their games, but looks like DOA5 from this trailer will have a deeper context to the lore of the tournament.

Comprehensive story line that's good, that's what the story mode is for. For individual characters that could be for Arcade Mode which is good to learn about the individual characters.

Your standards are odd in my opinion, it's just much more interesting when you play arcade mode with each individual character to unlock their CG movie (that's just a draw back for me and it's not their standard). Of course you'll skip through it once you beat it because you already seen it lol, but you also have the opportunity to check it out again later.
Mortal Kombat 9 has something for each character even in Arcade mode besides the story mode and along with TTT2 each has added a lot of Content- Teamninja needs to step it up a notch. Don't get me wrong it's a good game, but a lot more was expected and it seems they just took it easy.

Characters get more screen and story time though. Don't know what a random CG does but drain resources.
Sounds like you don't care about characters. CG scenes don't have to be random for DOA5 and cuts scenes are not enough to tell a story for individual characters. Judging by MK9, and Tekken I'm quite sure there's more than plenty of resources (space on the disc) to spare ;)

I do hence I prefer them getting more screen time and characterization. Than a random ending that does nothing for them. 30 second CGs have little to no room for anything but fluff.

See TTT2 CGs, personally I don't give a flying fuck what Mokujin does at Namco studious. MK9 didn't have CG, it had cutscenes.

Resoruces =/= disc space. Resources = development time and money.

Often pre-rendered cutscenes are outsourced, so it's more money than time issues. But I do agree. And the slideshow things at the end of MK9's arcade mode do not qualify as "end game CGs."

Ha, I never said MK 9 had CG I said the Arcade mode done something for their characters endings. I'm so glad over 3 million people don't care about what you like or don't like about cutscenes with your thoughts fighting games would be too bland. Sounds like you know nothing about disc space, or game development. Nope, they had plenty of time and plenty of resources, took what 6 to 7 seven years- are you kidding me lol.
Edit: Actually development time was wasted on putting in 3 Virtua Fighter characters when it should of had at least 2 more new DOA5 characters. Take notes from Harada it's a reason why the Tekken franchise is the number 1 fighting game of all time.
