I doubt it but it's possible. They haven't really made new characters as they used too. Unless they're doing something for the 30th anniversary (literally the only thing everyone is looking forward too).Does anyone else sense a new version of this game coming out? I'm thinking they've tapped out of this engine (even though I would prefer they just keep things the way they are), and it's super weird that they are doing the Windows 11 thing. I've talked to a few people in the tech field about it and they said if there are no new graphics that it was a lazy decision. I am not sure why it was perceived that way to them, but I'll ask.
Tbh, ill be honest(im high af too): While idk if Prism flopped per say, I definitely think it didn't get the hype they expected, which makes sense as to why there's no dlc plans or anything yet I've seen and the game's dropped like in march. I feel they silently realized Prism wasn't up to their expected reward and kinda abandoned it for now which is smart since the lack of girls hurt it. Beautiful game with visuals, music, and looks to behold, but no real actual gameplay besides taking pics and the few mini games.
Im annoyed about having to upgrade to windows 11 but lets hope this could mean some visual improvements. The game is beautiful and looks as good as LR, but they could definitely afford some QOL changes, like maybe making their textures and body meshes more detailed and adding more res to the textures to get some current Gen 2025 textures rather than the still aged like fine wine ones we have now.... I'd love Kasumi with her hair and model up to DOA6 quality, but maybe retain their VV body models since I honestly like the LR curves better than then 6 ones for the girls Kasumi's size.
Yeah i agree, imo i think they knew it wouldn't do well so they put in as much detail to make it visually appealing to show off what their graphics are capable of, but they didn't overdo it so they wouldn't risk losing too much if it didn't do well.Koei Tecmo was ridiculous for not localizing the game to begin with. They wanted to see if they could get away with making a DOA character absent game and it largely didn’t work.
The character model bodies were anorexic nervosa and I will never support that. They didn’t even look fit. The dialogue was about as good as what we get for free I’m VV and it lacked DOA characters. Like they really believed Kasumi could be absent.
Prism was terrible, but it was an understandable experiment that flopped IMO.
Im also hoping it doesn’t prevent a DOAX4. I played Prism just to try and scratch that itch for an Xtreme game and it was so fun, but I wish we just would have just gotten X4. I really dont even mind asset reuse for swimsuits as well, as long as their is just nice stuff to collect and fun things to do. X3 was fun but the lack of swimsuits on launch really hurt and you can see where they were definitely saving suits and features for DLC. If TN does an X4 right, it would do better than anything they are trying to with Prism. With the 30th soon, im hoping for at least something as we got X3 for the 20th anniversary and technically X2 for the 10th lol. Since all these big games are doing swimsuit costumes pretty often now too, im hoping it sways TN with more western releases.Idk why TN isn't supporting Windows 10 anymore. Not like they're gonna add more gameplay features.
Still don't know if Prism flopped.
I hope it did, because that genre is niche af.
However, I'm hoping that doesn't prevent them from making DOAX4.
Yeah the girls look pretty but really nothing to do. DOAX3 did better in that field even with the grinding and the barebones compared to previous games.

Also, they haven't posted much on their YT since Prism release. Just birthday events. They haven't posted SSRs, only on their website or X.
