Eliot Combo thread

Pretty self explanatory; Just take note that when posting combo's state "all" specific details. Character weight, near wall or open space, damage, NH or CH, slope stage or regular floor, if the combo utilizes any guaranteed stuns except PB's test the possibility of slow escaping.

Unfortunately, Eliot's 236F+P throw might not ceiling splat this time either so no ceiling combo's :(. Eliot has gained some new launchers, combo enders, and hit properties on old moves so be creative. Take note that he also doesn't have alot of many sit down stuns so take advantage of stages with breakable objects as they will put your opponent in unholdable stuns.

Unfortunately, Eliot's 236F+P throw might ceiling splat this time either so no ceiling combo's :(.

What are you talking about? Ceiling splat guarantees one free attack including PB. Additionally, if it's at high counter then your attack will do hi-counter damage in a normal level threshold.

For example, Hi-counter ceiling splat with Bass gives a 3K which does 19 damage to a 28 threshold, and since Ceiling splat is considered crouching he gets a 3K sit-down stun which guarantees a 33P launcher, or if opponent isn't stagger escaping then right into CB!.

Or he could just PB.

So I don't see how "there's no ceiling combo's :(", you just have to find them.

its confirmed it doesn't ceiling splat since in the eliot vs brad video in home. he does 236f+p twice and it just launches normally. it balances out since he has so much wall carry properties with multiple :3_::P: that he'll more than likely knock someone into dangerzones/walls anyway from mid screen off of it

does 76 damage on normal throw/115 damage on high counter throw plus even more potential damage with walls/dangerzone thown in the mix.

works on every1 except bass/bayman and have to sacrifice 1 :3_::P: to complete the combo on them

Well I thought that doing Eliot's Electric Wind Hook Palm(ih3p) would be my real problem but it's getting easier.

What I am having problems with is :4::6::P: endings to combos, like for :P::P::4::6::P: or :3:_:9::P::P::P::4::6::P:
It works just fine for:
:4::P::P::P::P::4::6::P:
:6::P::P::4::6::P:
Even :1::P::P::P::P::P::4::6::P: but those are less important for combos because they wallsplat or knockdown a launched person. (:4::P::P::P::P::P: though, can be the easy button for 106 damage after instant3p's combo above instead of using the instant hold 3ps.)

anyone else facing the problems with :4::6::P: move too?

And last but not least, does the combo from the Brad vs Eliot video still exist?

I've been working on it for hours but I'm geting no luck. The 3ppp46p is my problem. The second P won't connect, do you need a wall to push them back towards you?

I have difficulty with the :3::P::P::P::4::6::P: finish but I think I have everything else down as if it's second nature, as for that throw combo I don't think it works in this build. Even when I carry an opponent to a wall the full :3::P::P:P: string won't even finish.

That really sucks. It makes me feel as if I learned the instant hold 3p for nothing. Oh well I guess I'll have to settle for :6::6::P::4::6::P: in that combo. It's what I've been using anyway.

Btw really nice job on this combo. I like it a lot. It's also cool that the first hit is able to get the close hit buff which knocks the NH damage up to 125, without wall damages coming into play.

Even still, for alittle less damage(only like 3 points less on NH)

It has reach that's usually the combo I use when I get the launch. And also that other combo doesn't hit with :4::6::P:

I thought so. I tried it a bunch of times yesterday, the other funny thing is it only works with :8::K: as the launcher. I tried :3::3::P: which I thought could be a nice change up even though I know the person can't hold out of CB for a lot of frames. I might try :6::6::P:, ih3p, ih3p, then 3PPPP_6PP46P_6PPP. It all depends.What are all of Eliots launchers?

I usually only use his BT :4::K: or :8::K: But yea those are most of his launchers

I didn't know that was a launcher, I'll try that out tonight. I really want to get some good 3P+K/2F+KP stuff. I know the launch height is low, but those moves are crucial to my playstyle.

People will usually just counter the P after the low kick. Don't try to usually launch from that move. And the only combos you will probably get for that launch is :3::P::P::P::K:

I use it as a punishing launcher, not a straight up one. The reasoning is because it crushes high's easily. The one from :2::F+K: comes out once in a blue moon, and all other times, it's delayed 6p, 3kp, 2P+K, or just another 2F+K.

I need to make more use of :3::P::P::P::K: though for sure.
