Custom Music? What do you guys think?

The Playstation version of DOA5 seriously needs the ability to play your own music from your HDD. I'd love to listen to the new deadmau5 album while playing this game without having to turn the TV down low and listening with headphones, because I like the sound effects and the japanese voices in the game, so I want to hear them too. Hopefully they add that feature in the future, it'd be greatly welcomed from me. I wanna know what you guys think.

I guess that's just another perk of the 360 version. I think the music is nice. The stage Home has my favorite music.

I think the music is decent, but it's not very catchy or memorable to me personally. Now TTT2 music on the other hand...that's something I can fight too. Hell I even have the OST on my iPod lol

Dont know the fan that did the rap for this game , did better then snoops phoned in version.....snoop aint been the same since he dropped doggystle his first album n the early 90z

I agree, that Snoop song is ass, but I don't really like the fan song either. As a fellow musician I do think it's cool that he got that song to be on the actual game, pretty badass. Wish I could do something like that with my music.

Yeah, this game has a nice soundtrack, but very little I can actually fight to. Especially when it comes to playing in a certain stage over and over again. TTT2's OST blows this one out of the water for that and other various reasons. Least they could do is patch the feature in some way to make up for the lack of character specific themes. At least the previous games' soundtracks gave me the adrenaline rush I need to fight.

And Virtua Fighter's simply a master when it comes to adrenaline in their soundtracks.

Oh how I would LOVE to fight to this on Sakura. Team Ninja, make a Tekken Tunes-esque feature happen! Or at the very least, HDD access to our music XD

I like to listen to fast paced music like electro house, drum n bass, things like that when I'm actually fighting, but in training mode I'll play chill stuff like Toro y Moi, Utada Hikaru, Toonami Deep Space Bass, Nujabes, etc. I just love having the ability to choose what I want to play my games to. Idk why Sony didn't go the Xbox route and let everyone play their own music on any game they wanted. Oh well, maybe on the PS4.

This song gets me pumped.

I think custom soundtracks should had been on DOA5 for the PS3. Its really annoying when I can't listing to my music for shit.
Im getting upset with the lack of custom soundtracks.

The music is overall decent, nothing too outstanding but nothing to horrible either IMO. I do like that the music kicks up when the stage starts to change, ala scramble and flow. Very nice touch. I loathe the fan made rap song tho. Sorry to whoever made that. I think it's cool that it's in there but I hate the fact that I have to listen to it on loop every time I do a rank search. Horrible horrible decision. That's the type of song that should play during the end credits or somewhere you don't have to sit frequently. Having a song like that on loop where you'll spend a large chunk of time is a bad design decision if you ask me. It's gotten so bad that I either mute the tv or play a custom soundtrack until I get a challenger.

I liked how VF5FS let you change the music from past VF games and it even let you switch the background music when you search for matches in the online.

You can always turn the in-game music off and play something from your PC or sound system... It sucks they shafted PS3 owners like that though. I could only take one day of the in-game music before creating a classic DOA playlist

Preferrably a mixture of DOA2&3 themes. I don't know about you guys, but nothing gets me going like Gen Fu/Helena's DOA2 themes or Bayman/Christie's DOA3 themes.

I don't know about anyone else, but DoA4's soundtrack need some love too. It's not as good as 2 and 3, but pretty dang awesome. My favorites have to be Successor (Eliot), Mentor (Gen Fu), Fang (Jann Lee), and Purity (Kasumi). Those are tracks that get me HYPED. Especially Mentor, how could anyone ignore that piece of breakbeat awesomeness?

I actually never owned or played a DOA game till this one..well I did play DOA4 every once in a while with my friend back in high school, but DOA5 is honestly my first true DOA game, so I've never heard any of the other games soundtracks.

Yeah i reckon custom music on the PS3 version would be awesome & I'd gladly welcome it.

As far as fighting game tunes go Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown had a plethora of ripping tracks i just loved fighting with.

Vanessa's theme from Virtua Fighter 5R (which is also in Final Showdown) steals the show for me. Really get's my blood pumping.

Vanessa has some pretty sick themes in every iteration of VF5. My favorite has to be Final Showdown's though.

Another good one is Shun Di's Vanilla VF5 theme. First time I heard this in the middle of a fight, I instantly got pumped and started fighting harder than I've ever fought before. Instantly became my personal favorite stage since the music is so darn epic XD

And it would be a crime if I forgot to post this classic gem.

Continues to make me wonder how Lei-Fei would have turned out in DoA5. I would have been using him ALL THE TIME XD

I just had an epic moment online with Jann Lee against a pro Bayman. I was down 0-2 & all of sudden this theme played on my headset.

This boss theme gave me inspiration & i came back to win the fight 3-2. Pure gold gaming moment right there.

Epic. This is the reason i play DOA5, & for the record I'd now love to have this theme as my custom track, lol.
