When are you guys heading there tomorrow/today? I stay up late so I wake up really late in the afternoon.

Anyone that might be going that needs a ride (~20 minutes from hayward) don't hesitate to message me.

I'll probably be there a bit before 3. I wanna get in on the games early and meet everyone before it gets busy.

I'll be the dude with the beard and a blue Bomb-Omb shirt. ;)

See you all there!

GGs to Six and Aegis on Friday, we put in work!

The gathering went well. A couple people couldn't make last second and it would have been better to have more people to attend, but we had a good, productive time nonetheless.
You guys were friendly and cool enough to discuss strategies/weaknesses, and I greatly appreciate that. That's what it takes for players to get better and a scene to grow.

Six got that multi character knowledge going.
"Get off the cab, Aegis!" ';)

I'm glad you guys are down to make meetings monthly or so, and we're really fortunate to have a place that we CAN get together for games. Hope to see you guys and more players out next time.

I was busy before so my reply was short but I wanted to comment on the game-play itself and layout. I think the VF layout should be the one we use.

It's fine to use whatever since the game isn't too execution heavy but I noticed the random players the came up using playing either on the default PS3 setup you were using Thrust or the custom VF Arcade style i changed it to. I think that promotes inconsistency.

From what I saw of the randoms coming up and playing, they had the luxury of mashing random buttons because so many buttons were available from the start. It would probably feel like street fighter where a fireball got its own button, dragon punch its own button and super its own button. Just felt weird seeing that.

Either way, I don't want to impose because it does take maybe a week to relearn everything using a new format and in the end doesn't affect me in any way.

I think 4-5 people next time would be great. Even with just us 3, the rotation felt really nice to play in. More players and I'd have to wait longer if I lost. :p

that is actual how I play on my hit box. The only diff is mine is

When playing Akira I need the P+K mapped when doing some combos. It just easier on my fingers lol. Other then him everyone else im fine

I'll be totally lost getting adjusted to a different set-up, but I'd be more than willing to try it out.

Unacceptable!! :D I'm going to learn Akira to see what you're talking about Tenren.

Took me a few days going from pad to stick. You're right though, you'd be totally lost for those few days.

LOL I rather stick to pad. Only only prefer a stick when playing VF. Any other fighter I can do both, but DOA I rather play pad.

I'm not actually telling people to change to stick, though I think it's a good idea. I'm talking about the two stick setups we had at game center. The button layout changed a lot because me and Thrust were using a different layout. He was using the default layout so I can't fault him for that but I think GPK is better overall and should be the standard for the randoms dropping by and playing on stick.
