alright speculation time IF leon will indeed be in the game via dlc or DOA5:hardcore re-release how do u want him play like? i'd actually prefer for TN to overhaul his style to separate him more from bayman no more shared counter or throw animations, no more shared strings with slight variations i want them to be 100% unique from each other.
i think the best way to do is is to keep ALL his signature stuff like his air throw, desert falcon, tackle, etc and mix it up with spartans unique stuff(replace the plasma grenade grab with a frag grenade if you have to).while adding some brand new shit for him that fits a more brawler style.
in short just make his style look as brutal, vicious, and intimidating as possible

1. Christmas Leon is SO happening now. Photoshop is opening later, and I have my whole commute to imagine what to do.
2. Surely if they've acknowledged the Leon talk, they must be recognising that there IS interest for character DLC? Unless they're just going to string us along by a large resounding 'maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe '
3. Personally I didn't mind Bayman and Leon sharing counter moves. They both use the same style, so they're likely to share SOME moves. Maybe they learnt things from fighting each other? (it's a lame excuse, i know, but still)
4. If we're doing a christmas competition, that elf yourself thing is comedy gold.

Well....something to consider.
Leon and Bayman know each other. Bayman treats him as a deserter. And when Bayman returns to mercenary work, he comes across as a carbon copy of Leon (Gear, profession). So my guess is...they both trained together, and/or worked in the same unit (Likely a mercenary unit, since Leon isn't russian). Hence their similar military trained combat styles.

Agreed. Make him different from the other two "big guys" (and mila now, too, since shes like a LeonLite). While Bass is loud and flashy, and Bayman is extremely tactical, Leon is/should be more of a brutal ground and pound style. No tricks. No gimmicks. Just brutality and sheer strength.
OOH...they should make his Arm Grenade into a combo throw. As he does the arm grenade, and they are flying away, with his arm still outstretched he grabs them by the ankle and it turns into a giant windmill swing as he swings em around by their leg and then hurls em COMPLETELY across the stage. SO, arm grenade+grab=spinning them around and around (Or maybe just spinning once so he throws them in the opposite direction he sent them flying with the arm grenade.)
Or, alternately, he simply pulls them back towards him, and he headbutts them out of the air or something. (Kinda like how his mount tackle can deviate between arm lock, beatdown, and headbutt.)
Just no pansy ass focus on strings for Leon, please. He only needs ONE hit to deck the opponent. THat's the point of him.
Its funny if people expect TN to put in so much time to give these characters a new make over. I just don't see this happening. If they do make Leon DLC I just expect him to be DOA4/or DOAD Leon with maybe a little tweeks and CBs and PBs added.
