DOA5's Story

Ninjas didn't participate in the tournament. Duh.
I was talking about in 4. Ryu was eliminated by Jan Lee, which is ludicrous.

I get the idea TN grew some common sense by 5, and hence made the ninjas not enter because they would (canonically speaking) mop the floor with everyone else.

The tournament made no sense in 4 and had like 20 different sides of it and it's pretty obvious the ninjas still wasn't in the tournament. DOA4 had all kinds of useless cutscenes/endings outside of Helena's playthrough.

I read somewhere they did enter, but maybe that was misinformation.
The story in DOA4 to me is that Hayate cut some dudes up, Ayane blew some dudes up, and Ryu jumped around doing his Ninja Gaiden thing.
That was honestly enough.

Meh. Was interested in her when the trailer came out and was actually considering maining her but her lack of moves and overall rushed personality didn't do it for me.

I used her because I love MMA. But I lost interest along the line because Vanessa(VF) is just too awesome.

What a shame.

I'm thinking that Ein will return in clone form in DOA 6 thanks to Hayete being captured and being examined on a cellular level. It's the perfect way to have both Ein and Hayete in the next story mode and it make sense. Also I think Rig is a clone too.

Create two Ein instead that just one, and so Kasumi, Ayane and Hitomi will no longer have to fight for him :p

About Rig it's a possibility that he could be a clone, considered that also Kasumi Alpha called Donovan "father". There is also teh possibility that Rig is a clone of the same Donovan, so we could have already seen his face without even knowing it.

I use Mila, so of course I wouldn't forget her. Although her lack of exposure in the story was extremely disappointing >:
You know, I can defintely see her story picking up tremendously in DOA6. Especially if they play the political card right with Tina and Bass... a little DOATEC infiltration from M.I.S.T. here, a little push from Rig to get Bass into politics there, Bass gets made out to be the bad guy, Mila becomes disappointed, meets friends with similar stories on people they look up to (Hitomi, Eliot, Leifang, etc), finds resolve, blah, blah, blah...

I don't know exactly how it could work logically as this was just off the top of my head, but I have a gut feeling this could develop her character quite a bit.

You're really onto something there. Seeing as how she has little to no development here, this gives a crapload of opportunities for story incorporation in DoA6 or the inevitable DoA5: Hardcore/Ultimate Wii-U re-release :V I just hope I won't be disappointed this time in that regard. She's a really good character... design-wise of course.

Ehh, she was mostly just introduced in this game. Her story arc happened to be one of the best in the game though.
Hoping that she will get more spotlight in the next game though. Her personality is just awesome.

One criticism to add to the story is that not all the characters got closure.

For example, Mila lost DOA5. What happened to her after that?

Amen to that. I demand The Mila Show gets a second season (coughlikemotorcityshouldhavecough)!

Mila and Tina became the best of friends and spent the rest of their years attending rock concerts, rodeo shows, and weekly tag team street fights with El Blaze and zombie Lisa?
.............Yeeeaaahh ._. Ah well. At least Eliot had the greatest moments in the story, so that can make up for the lack of clear closure.
