Here I am. FakeSypha, or just Sypha in some forums. From Argentina. I play as Christie.

Well, I registered on last December, but yet I never did a 'formal' presentation of myself. I'm nothing special in fighting games, sadly, but I always trying to learn and improve my play. I sure love DOA, but I'm fairly new to it. I mean, I actually played DOA2 back in the day on my DC, but then I never had the chance to own a Xbox so I missed DOA3. Same with DOA4 and the 360, until last year when I got myself revolving with the idea to buy one with the main purpose to play some DOA4 (along with other games, but that was an important one :p). Dimensions was the excuse to get the 3DS, also but I'm expecting something more on that system (MH3G).

So after doing some online play, and getting my shit slapped to no end with a poorly played Hitomi I started looking for a DOA community in which I could learn the basics and whatnot (note: I'm my country, DoA is pretty much non-existant). Anyway, I ended up here, and so far I've learned a lot of things from you, so thanks a lot bros. I'm still a noob, tho.. but always practicing and slowwwwwly improving.

Btw, I'm more of a lurker than a poster.

I'm really hooked up now, and expecting DOA5 anxiously. That'd be my story with DOA.

Wa gwan, FSD. I'm Brian. I play videogames and spend absurd amounts of money on kung fu movies.

Haven't been into DOA since the Dreamcast days, but I will be getting my shining wizard on with extreme prejudice with DOA5, assuming Tina makes it in. My XBL gamertag is Wagwan XBL and my favorite recent action flick is Chocolate, starring Yeeja Yanin and a bunch of fools who get kicked in the face.

I am Orange Pork. Wagwan is my roommate. I also play Tina, but I am better. I am better at everything.

My favorite fighting games are Rival Schools and Bloody Roar 3. I first started playing fighting games competitively when Soulcalibur 2 came out and people in college stopped going to class so they could all gather in some dude's room and mash out Kilik mirrors. I'm not too big into SC anymore, but I main Sophitia's angel step stab. Just that move. Over and over.

In Bloody Roar games I always play Shina, because characters in fighting games with pro wrestling moves are awesome.

I look forward to sharing my tender deliciousness with the lot of you.

Hello all! While I've been playing fighting games for years DoA was the game that got me into it competitively! I always have and always will love this series and I look forward to getting back into it after such a long hiatus. It's cool to see some familiar names as well, you guys who've been here the entire time deserve a revitalized scene!

Hey everyone! I've been playing Dead or Alive since DOA2 for the PS2. I loved the gameplay and ever since then I've played every DOA that came out. I've been a lurker here on FSD for years, but with DOA5 just around the corner I've decided its about time to actively partake in the community, and help create more awareness for this awesome series, since IMO it doesnt get the love it deserves in the FG community.
I play several characters, some better than others, but the ones I consider my mains are Hitomi, Brad Wong, Christie and Ayane.
I have never really played DOA actively online, but I plan on changing that with DOA5. So if anyone is game, my xbox gamertag is Inferno NL and my PSN is InfernoNL

Ah, to be 23 again...

I believe I was just about to start working for Bethesda Softworks in 2009.

Sorry, trip down memory lane. On second thought, I'd rather be 22 agai- no 17, yeah 17.

Nice to see you two here, hope you enjoy the stay and bring a lot of help to the scene.

Thanks for the welcome, i am a bit of a scrub as i have not played DOA in a long time DOA4 was so off putting.
So i am a bit rusty but i am here to learn the game again, DOA5 has renewed my hope with what i learned about it so far. So you are a game designer that's cool, i am going to be attending ITT tech for computer software and hardware.

Sounds cool, well you got my support. There hasn't been any american made fighting games other than MK might be wrong though.

Oh, there have been a couple. It's just that, short of the likes of MK and Eternal Champions (at least, until Sega of Japan killed off EC in favor trying to push for VF back in the day), not many of them had any staying power.

Skullgirls, on the other hand, stands to be very promising.
