I'm fine with how the game is in 1v1 and still plan to compete. I played tag with friends and will not in no way compete for tag. I just dont like it or care to learn it. Tag can be a side tourney if you wish, but 1v1 should always be priority.

Let me see if I'm getting this right. OP is implying Tag should replace 1vs1 because it now has more guaranteed situations than 1vs1 fights, making it more suitable for competitions? I'm getting this sort of vibe, but then I could be very wrong.
Being fair I have to say I never cared for Tag mode, and these changes won't make a difference for me. No matter how 'better' could be, or less random, or whatever. In the other hand, I do respect the people who are into Tag. I'm glad for them. Maybe, all this stuff will make Tag a bit more popular than what it is now. If I'm not mistaken there were dedicated Tag players in the past DOAs.
Anyway I'd rather have a more 'competitive' 1vs1 game. Too bad TN didn't feel like it, so they took out the SE glitch. Answering the poll: no.

Playing tag is like playing the game that this should have been in the first place.
Also, might as well capitalize on that Mahvell hype. The latter series has always been popular with the FGC for its cutthroat, high-risk nature, making it perfect for money matches. The damage appeals to a "bloodlust" that seems to be part of the community, especially among older players.

One of the things that I like about Marvel is the creativity in combos. There are so many different options and they are pretty cool to see. I haven't practiced Tag much in DOA5 but I plan too. All the different team combinations will add more creativity to combos. I wish they had more Tag stages though.

I was just asking the question since Tag now has more guaranteed damage, and I believe that is what most of us want right? I haven't been that much into tag myself, and I too wish TN would have kept in the SE glitch for singles but they didn't. I would have no misgivings either way the community decides to go, but the question still needed to be asked. Because even though I personally would have no problem with there being separate tourneys for singles and tag, I doubt most TOs would go for that.

In fact i would prefer if a lot of the people in here who do nothing but bitch about DOA would spare everyone there complaints and would just go and play another game which they actually like. It was always a mystery to me why people in here who do nothing but bitch about DOA where still playing the game and what would you know they aren't even that bad at it lol. Then i figured they must like the game since hey are still playing it but somehow they also like to bitch about it maybe because they want attention and may be trolling.
