Does anyone know what the Divine Swallow Izuna/Underworld Drops are like? They are the only ones of the 9 throws that can be done with the demo weapons that requires above lvl 2 to perform.

Side note: Doing the flower garland drop next to walls is awesome.

what? I thought you would know what the underworld drop would look like!

The underworld drop is the same as the BOTA from NGS2/NG2

Also you can underworld drop in the demo with a level 2 katana, and dual katana, the claw has its own special drop to

All you got to do is do the regular izuna input but on the Last T do a >T instead

I know what the Underworld drop is. There are separate versions of the Izuna/Underworld drops that are called "Divine Swallow Izuna/Underworld Drop" in the movelist rather than the usual "Izuna/Underworld Drop," but we can't perform those moves because they require a lvl 3 katana.

Can someone tell me if there's a consistent way to trigger a steel on bone attack? Some videos I've seen seem to have ryu doing them at will but I can't figure it out.

When an enemy goes for certain grabs (when their hands blow red), use a heavy attack just before or just after they attack to trigger SoB.

I'm really surprised at how fun the demo is. It's my first time playing any version of NG3, and it is definitely one of the more entertaining action games I've played in a while. That said, I'm lost on how to approach the boss battle in Ayane's chapter. I've only been able to play it about three or four times, but my lack of unlocked skills makes the fight a bit of a head-scratcher.

UT spams. Dart around, hold Y/Triangle, let go. Rinse and repeat.

Thanks. Are these the same guys at the end of Hayabusa's chapter?
THe ones at the end of Ryu's chapter are a bit different. They don't have swords or boss bars, and you have to fight a bit more of them (though only 3 at a time). They're a bit less aggressive than the ones in Ayane's chapter so it's easier to abuse their AI. But they are fairly similar.

Ah I see. Much appreciated!

Np. g-gill seems to swear by the Dual Katanas but with Ryu I recommend using the Jinran-Maru (single katana). It's easier for me to target the second half and get the damage off, whereas the projectiles are often blocked from the DK UT.

Don't forget in Ayane's to use your ninpo on the Black Spider Ninja before the alchemists to get the most out of the healing. I recommend saving your karma until you can upgrade your primary weapon before anything else (which you can do before the alchemists).

g-gill is also saying on GameFAQs that he has a copy of the game. I can verify the truth of his story directly with TN tomorrow, since they'd know if any copies have shipped to retailers or distribution facilities. I'm not a fan of lying. I expect it on GameFAQs but not from FSD members. g-gill, I hope you either recant that claim or you offer up some proof. There were a lot of inconsistencies in your posts there, from knowing about certain game mechanics being altered from the demo (hint: they weren't) to saying you haven't opened your copy of the game but you know the code for costumes is both in the package and saying invalid when you enter it on PSN.

If you're lying, keep your lies there. I don't want to see anything but proof positive posted here.

Has anyone else pre-ordered RE at their Gamestop stores? It's still not online, but I paid off my PS3 pre-order yesterday. My receipt says "Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge SD" and the register display read "Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge 4/2"

I just find it weird that it's in their system in the stores, but not online.

I'm not going to hate you because you post something on the internet. You post a lot around here and it's almost always constructive and helpful. My problem happens when it's brought here, either by someone directly or by one of our members who also reads those forums (like myself). All I'm saying is that if you want to fuck around over there, make it abundantly clear here that you're just messing with people.

All that said, reading your posts when I'm not tired really just looks like you're trying to get more people into buying the game. I'm on board with that. That's part of why I didn't publicly call you out over there.

Did you happen to put up a video of Ayane's chapter? Contrary to most people on FSD, I'm doing fine with Hayabusa, but Ayane's boss battle is driving me nuts...
A lot of us use Ayane because the hurt boxes on her attacks are much larger than Hayabusa's and the ridiculous dodging abilities of the enemies are negated somewhat. I actually still prefer Hayabusa and I prefer Kasumi over Ayane. With Hayabusa you have to be careful because the fencer alchemists (or whatever they're called) often ignore hitstun and just attack through whatever you do. Heavy attacks should still knock them back a bit, giving you a chance to attempt a launch with -> Heavy or to just charge a UT.

Ah, I still have a ways to go before I get close to unlocking Kasumi. Thanks for the Hayabusa tips. Can you give any input on the Ayane boss with the sword-wielding alchemist trio? UT spam doesn't seem to work since one of the three always knock me out of charge.

I just did, actually. They're the alchemists with fencing swords, hence why I called them that. If you want to just play really safe, dodge jump around the edge of the arena, wait til they shoot the white fireballs (they can fire up to three at a time so be patient) and THEN charge a UT. At least one will run at you. Rinse and repeat.
