Tomb Raider was great in general, though I had some huge problems with the scripted events. In particular, the waterfall sequence where doing anything besides what they want you to results in Lara eating a spear through the mouth. When it happened the fifth time I was pretty annoyed with the game. But I really liked it in general.
This demo is the best thing released this year besides DmC (I know, I know) and I'm very eagerly anticipating the full game. I have no doubt it will be my top game for the first half of the year, if not the whole year. Gotta wait and see what the next gen consoles have in store.
Yeah that waterfall sequence was frustrating, but I was surprised at how fun the gameplay turned out to be. I'm looking for to a sequel.
Moreover, I cannot wait for the full RE to come out. Playing as Ayane in every chapter of the story has been something I've been waiting to do for a long time, and now that I've experienced how the game plays, I am almost as hype as I was for DOA 5. This will be my go-to game for the a good part of the rest of the year, since the only other game I'm getting is Injustice (not a big fan of NRS, though) and maybe Last of Us. RE, DOA5 and DOA5+.
The graphics for RE demo are a pleasant surprise as well, personally. And I enjoyed fighting in the desert, but I can see how the kunai climb can get kind of annoying. The Karma system and unlocks, hell, even the SoB mechanic is entertaining. I've heard so many bad things about vanilla, but I find this demo to be too much fun. RE has rekindled my faith in the TN brand.
