Actually the general population is pretty impressed with what MS showed. There were a few moments that even I rolled my eyes at, but overall I was quite happy with a lot of the games that were shown. Check Twitter for instance.
Just got back from preordering my Xbox One and a copy of Battlefield 4. They didn't have the SKU for Killer Instinct so I coudn't get that yet. And if you guys think it won't be played at tournaments because of the online thing, you're nuts. EVERYONE has a mobile hotspot on their phones now that you can use to authenticate the Xbox One at the end of the night with.
Let's not pretend we're living in 2007 still. And depending on how the family thing works, maybe there's a way to even only buy one copy of the game if the consoles are all rocking one profile. Think about it this way: buy the game on one Tournament Organizer profile, put said profile on several consoles for the tournament, authenticate them, then in between matches every hour or so connect one at a time to authenticate. That seems to me that it would work since you'd then take them all offline. I could be wrong but that seems like a plausible, favorable scenario for TO's money-wise.
