  • I just noticed something. While watching FON's new TTT guide about movement & practicing free step with Momiji, her fists don't ball up.

Haha. That's correct. Momiji has a unique movement stance compared to the "generic" DOA movement step. Rig also has a unique movement step. But anytime your character is physically walking backwards, they're guarding.
So I now know what I need to improve on which is adapting to my opponent and spacing. Question is, where do I start?

Work on footsies and pay attention to what your opponent does. Looking over movesets helps too.
I managed to get the 1 month xbl gold free trial. If anyone wants to add me on xbl, feel free to.
*Sigh* so again I lost to my cousin...#PJSalt.

My first was 5 Vanilla but I learned alot about the in the last 6 months than I have I the last 2 years.

Anyway whenever me and my friend get tired of clashing head to head.... we play tag mode against the AI on the hardest difficulty.

Who do you and he/she use anyway ?

    Kasumi and Momiji ?

I play Momiji and I recently re-picked up Kasumi. He plays any other he picks, but his main is Ayane

Damn.... those characters are not my fortè. Well just please don't be too hard on yourself when you lose in casual play..... or even in competitive play..... there would be no point if you didn't enjoy yourself. Win or Lose.
Bandai Namco is having a sale on Xbox live. Dunno about PlayStation network, but I'm seeing some good games for $5-$7.

I'm still waiting for DOA DLC discounts on my asian PSN here. Asian PSN is ultra stingy, unlike US PSN which constantly make bundles and price down to $20.

Lots of good stuff on sale, I highly recommend tales of vesperia, and the two doom games.
Wtf do I keep losing to my cousin?! He ain't shit!

Your Kasumi actually isn't that bad. You seem to have the right idea when using her. I recommend quite a bit of poking with 6P & 5P strings. Both of them have follow-ups on all three hit levels (and usually solid follow-ups too). 1K & PP2K are also get lows (but don't abuse PP2K when your opponent catches onto it). Use 3H to protect yourself against Ayane's mids when you anticipate them.

The biggest thing I recommend is implementing ground hits to pressure your opponent on the ground. 2K & 4H+K are the go to moves. 9K is the low crush of choice. If you would like a "poke string", try PP6PK or 6PK.

@Force_of_Nature I honestly wish you were in my area, or vise versa, that way I'd rather spar against you offline than my cousin.

Bruh, I could have used that. McDonalds don't like to put as much on their fries as they used to, cause of "health issues" and "lawsuits". Coulda sprinkled some of that on these things.
Another day, another saltfest while playing against my cousin's damn Ayane...

Life of DOA, bro. Sometimes I'm tired fighting my friend's Kasumi until I want to punch her face personally.

If it makes you feel any better, yesterday I was at a friend's house and his tv has the longest delay ever. So my holds simply didn't come out (shitty d-pad didn't help either). When he does a knee with Bayman I know a high punch is coming but I simply can't hold it. He's basically already at advantage because his holds are random as fuck and mine are calculated but don't work, lol.
