Because without a social contract based on individualism any history or relationship I have with this country becomes void and at that point it's just a pile of dirt I don't care about.
Basically.
It's really not, but then you're also the guy who apparently doesn't like the idea of losing to somebody who worked harder to get better at the game. Which makes me think you take yourself too seriously and you aren't taking the game seriously enough.
I should've been clearer about what I was doubting. I was responding to the original post fearing fan backlash. I have a harder time picturing DOA fans crying foul about the series being diluted the way NG fans did with NG 3. Pretty much everybody saw that coming.
I have no doubt that...
I kinda doubt it. Even if it's not perfect, most people who know what they're talking about wouldn't argue that DOA 5 has been dumbed down. The usual complaint seems to be that it's not improved enough to win over competitive players who have already written the series off.
I dunno about that. I don't have much to back me up, but I feel like the gaming market, internet buzz and especially the economy have changed a lot since the last time a DOA game was released on consoles. There are a lot more casuals and a lot more effort being put into grabbing casual sales...
I don't think any publicly traded corporation would have the balls to expose their games to criticism prior to release if their brand names didn't at least guarantee they'd get a fair shot.
Maybe. According to you. But it's pretty pointless to make such an empty claim because you're NOT saying it to my face and you know just as well as I do that you can't. In an environment without consequences all tough talk is cheap. Which is why most people who want to be respected online don't...
That's an illogical argument. The competitive player doesn't need things simple and obvious unless they're not as competitive as they think they are, Mr. Internet Tough Guy.
