Not all PLs. Crushes will happen on the status position of the character and the type of move. There are moves that leave someone crouching on active, so it can crush a high despite being a mid. If a PL has a crouching status state, it can crush a high.
If you look at Kasumi, Mai, Phase 4, Alpha PBs, that's not necessarily called a crush, they can still get hit by a mid so it's not entirely avoiding all mids. It's whiff punishment on their end due to range inconsistencies because of the lean back. If an attack avoids a certain hit level such as a low while you are -jumping- and attacking and it lands, that's a crush because it avoided all the hit levels from lows.
For other bits of information, some moves that are still standing can still crush highs depending on the move even if the the details doesn't say crouching despite the animation looking like it does. If you do Kasumi's PB, Raidou's P will whiff up close, but if you pick a smaller character or Kasumi, their P will up close connect. #HitBoxBoiyz
Some do, gen fu and Marie rose crouch real low, mai and mila pull there hurtboxes back backswing blow style, nyotengu PB has some low crush frames, it all depends on the animation
@Camel with 2 thumbs I wouldn't consider the backswing attacks to be crushes since they can still get hit by mids. Those are usually labeled whiff punishment because the opposing character didn't have enough reach to hit the character out of it. I guess in -some way- it could be labeled crushing if we take the term off the book. Semi-crush? (can't say) since it can avoid mids but this is character dependent.
It depends, like Kasumi and Naotora's PLs are considered jumping so they can crush lows iirc. And Mai's PL and PB can also crush lows iirc too since they're considered jumping as well.
