I’ve never seen people quit or give up in a fighting game as much as SC6, and I’ve played MKX and Injustice 2! DOA may be pretty bad, but I’ve had a nicer time with this community

Usually the people who are active in the respective communities have a bit more of a "fighting spirit," so I don't think you;ll find a mass of rage-quitters on 8WR or FSD. It's the casuals that are the problem, and since I'm not really a part of the larger SC community, I can't exactly sync games to avoid them.

The kicker is that I'm not even very good. My starts are easy to overcome. They just don't want to put in any effort to figure it out.

I just think that since the barrier of entry is so low in SC, everyone thinks they have a shot in this new “e-sports FGC” era. Everyone wants to be the next SonicFox and thinks it must be easy. But even 8WR is full of whiny people quick to completely judge everything and give up. And it’s not nearly as active as this forum.

As a guy who recently has delved outside of the SF comfort zone, this forum has been active and friendly. Everywhere else has been like a ghost town.
