I'm in for a remake of RE3 and DMC1, especially the latter, because it'd be interesting how Melee island would look like both outside and inside with the DMC5 style of graphics/looks. After RE3 remake, they should just make RE8 instead of remastering a game that honestly has everything and can be accessed much more easily than the old ps1 games.

You mean considering how many ports RE4 had? Lol No & ye Not many people know this bc of high praise but there's a huge disconnect between Pre-RE7 fans and RE7 fans. They noticed this and probably assumed remakes will sell. When I prefer RE6 and decided not to buy 7, even used. You know there's a problem. Revelations was a good spinoff and it had more of a reason to be called RE7/8. It's 3rd Strike fiasco again

7 was a flop. Only reason to buy it is VR. Which I don't have. They bitched about 6 too but FPS doesn't go over well. Lacks RE's identify. You know what Lincoln said, "If this is coffee, please bring me some tea; but if this is tea, please me some coffee."

Yeah regarding RE4, i'm just sitting here like "does this one in particular truly need one?" I mean the game came out for the Gamecube and PS2 sure, as well as just been ports after, but the game seemed pretty alright in the age I guess? Think the only bits I can see changing from RE4 is a graphical overhaul or just making it a slightly longer game (I think?) not sure, but I just can't see this one being remade lol.

RE4 is just one of those games. If they remade GTA3, it'd sell more copies than GTA5. As long as us 80s-90s born people are around, they will market to us. Going to be 60 talking about why they're still catering to scrubs. Alex Valle with his arthritis will still somehow be smoking dudes.

The more I play RE2R, the more appealing RE4 on that engine sounds. Dr. Salvador, novistadors, garrador, imagine the fucking regenerator in that engine? Yo son.

It would have to be a purely graphical update though, I feel touching the gameplay would hurt the integrity of what made RE4 legendary. They would have to downgrade their remake tech and go back to RE1 remake style, and it is now I realize how ass backwards that last statement sounded, lol.

@Hold_Junkie93 if more than 5 million in sales is a flop, somebody's standards are way too high. It's Square-Enix logic. Anyway, there is definitely a disconnect because one genre is action and the other is horror. But horror came first and the action half of the franchise isn't all that polished to begin with, so I'm inclined to ignore it.

That what Capcom said lol They themselves considered it a flop. No, the disconnect was, no old cast and new characters/first person. I remember dead aim and stuff but people want to look at it from the RE4 pov. It might as well been PT, and no body would have thought otherwise. (Ignoring the RE lore that is in there.) RE is capcom's biggest (Highest selling) franchise. So, I'm not surprised they put it on a pedestal

They can -target- any insane number they want. They wanted 10 million lifetime sales. Maybe they will get it. Probably they won't.

Regardless, it's only a flop if it fails to generate a substantial profit. At 5 million sales, they long since passed that point.

I only ever beat 4, 5, 6, Rev(Got boring with repeated enemies tbh not sure if I beat it but I got close), Rev 2, I own Veronica on ps2 and 0 for PS4. I can see why people like it and it'll probably be king for a time being. I just don't see the appeal in 7 tbh, as a RE game that is. They're not my cup of tea but I don't hate RE. The PS4 gen has been babying people (myself included) So, I hope RE2 sells well but mos

RE7 was very RE though... It was probably the most RE resembling game in years. obscure locked doors with ornate keys? A mansion that like a maze? Being stalked by an enemy you can't kill only temporarily knock out? RE had all of those things waaaay before 7. The new face argument makes no sense because there was a time when Leon was new not everything needs to be Leon and Chris you know lol

DMC1 remake sounds pretty dope, though I actually like the limitations that game had, namely tank controls and fxed camera, and i fear a remake would do away with those and opt for a more modern style of gameplay
