Technically they have "6". The guys usually get shafted at launch for a DOA game. In DOA5 the guys started with between 2-4 costumes, including recolours and whatnot. In SCVI every character only got 1 unique costume (albeit, there is CaS mode I admit).

i wasnt really counting the recolors tbh lol... but yeah it's just.... so out of date tho, treat all the characters equally if you're not gonna then why are they even here. How is Diego literally a new character and already being treated as 2nd class that dont even make sense.

Well it is DOA and the male characters are almost always not as popular, and Koei-Tecmo allocates resources accordingly. (But yeah, the guys should've gotten at least a little more swag?)
