@Camel with 2 thumbs@Raansu Nah, it's more like DOA6 currently just doesn't know where it's at since the game is a massive walking contradiction. Some of the ppl prefer to tolerate it and accept it's shallow progress simply because it's the only game they play. People are like "fuck Wiz" which I agree, fuck Wiz, but DOA is no saint either which people believe DOA are always the good guys apparently.
On the start of things I like DOA6. If I didn't I wouldn't even play it nor support, heck I stopped at S- in the demo with characters I don't even play. Don't have a character? find someone new, but it's also tough trying to spread love for this game when it backfires. Especially recent events, both sides took a hit. A double edge sword move as long as people play it (as in, people play it then leave unfortunately).
Sounds like a pretty solid plan to me I'm actually more hype for Julia/Negan along with the new patch than i am for DOA6, once DOA6 actually gets content worth 60 bucks then i'll jump in.
But now it's a matter of tolerance and patience to start over which is the biggest hurdle in any fighting game. Starting over in a new game and learning 30+ characters again on top of completely different mechanics. Adapting to a new mechanic is no problem, it's just starting over and getting involved with a new community while supporting this one. Starting over is a mood killer the moment I start up a game.
@Brute I haven't given it a shot since it's a series I never even played aside from watching videos and stuff, but I'd like to try it. I was thinking of getting it once it goes on sale for PC or even on the PS4 to be sure that I didn't burn $60 for a game and not like it in the end, where if I got for $20-40 it wouldn't hit my wallet as hard. If SC6 is the one, then T7 will hit the very bottom backbone.
I definitely get it. I have reservations for the game. I enjoy the neutral game and the shorter threshold, but stuns are a little too short, and the stuns themselves make me feel like doa4 all over again with everything being escapable. All the inescable setups can be held out of now, BT setups are nerfed, limbos are limited almost entirely to fatals catching SS and old limbo moves just do a weird spin stun.
I'll still support the series. I don't have it in me to be the huge surge of players that leave and constantly make jokes of the series while they play other games. As one of the oddballs, if I see a DOA thread in some other game I'd literally tell people "DOA is a fun series, I still play and enjoy it." and just leave it as that without any tough feedback. The feedback they have to experience on their own.
