Good shit. I agree with your rant. Some aspects of the Tekken community turn me off badly such as the elitism to the point that I don't want to associate with it at times (luckily the Tekken peeps are cool enough in Toronto and I play with them for a change of pace at times). Though I'm curious to how the VF community would be like if VF had the same level of popularity as Tekken.

It isn't the popularity per se that makes them like that, but the dude-bro nature of the game. VF is the Gran Turismo of FGs, while Tekken is NFS. It's how the games present themselves.

Hmm... If VF had a level of popularity in the West akin to Tekken (I mean to the point of being neck & neck in popularity) I can definitely see some elitism, though to a lesser degree overall. There's at least a couple OG elitist minded people at VFDC when I used to frequent it a few years back, though yes, VF and DOA generally don't attract "dudebros" like Tekken does.
