DOA must be good game, not ok. It's one of the their main franchises after all. It will be awful when 5 years later, TN will be known us *Nioh developers* I don't say that Nioh is bad, but it mustn't become their main game

Don't see how that's awful. If DOA continues to be "ok", then it might as well move on to an entirely new fighting game IP and start from scratch without being in Itagaki's shadow. Course, I want nothing but the best for DOA, it happens to be great then I'd support it's greatness. Magic happened with DOA5 then the magic decided to wear off. It will be shallow if I continue to support it blindly with a false shell.

True, it could become something else that isn't known as" that one sexy fighting game that Itagaki created" and some ppl would stop saying that "the games (especially 6) would've been better if he made it" but just imagine how good their games could be if they'd focus on all, or at least most of them instead of just a select few and I think that they have what it takes to do that.

Eh, it's kinda the way KT works. Well, of course they'll play favourites because historically DOA fighting games "don't really sell well". Nice to see them making Nioh 2 look dope though! I just wish that TN & KT would take a good long look to see why DOA6 (and to a lesser extent DOA5) don't sell as well as they should, and improve from there.

Not just that, like, they have games or franchises that have the potential to be better and be just as good if not better than the games they usually focus on, like Nioh or the Atelier series: A new Ninja Gaiden done right could potentially compete with DMC5 for example, if they could find the right formula and not release a buggy mess when it comes to an open-world DW-SW game, then that'd be a huge game for them.
