The current 3D FG landscape is a trash heap. Being the king simply because the competition is lackluster isn't really something to praise so fervently.

Are you serious? How do you just cowtow to the competition so easily? Now I'm starting to believe the real reason Shimbori stepped down as the head honcho of DOA6 was because he knew he was gonna get exposed as a Tekkenhead and probably sabotaged the game on purpose to ensure Tekken stayed on top. No one in the right mind would give in to the competition, let alone give up on their game so quickly.

@Awesmic Which competition? that was all a ruse for heel entertainment from Itagaki in the first place. Shimbori wanted no part of that (which is reasonable, it's a losing battle he can't win unless the series creates a miracle to topple it all completely which is impossible, least currently).

No, it wasn't. If that was the case, a vast majority of the Tekken fanbase wouldn't hate DOA fans like myself with the burning fury of a thousand suns.

There's so many technical nuisances on Tekken I wished was looked at. More combo potential now with the current HP. I could tell you or have my Tekken friend that has a 1000 plus things to say about Tekken that's actually worse. If you heard him, you'd believe us DoA players lucked out w/DoA6.

Brute - In other words, a trash king (who's not actually really trash) puts it's foot down on all the lesser trash heaps to make them feel even more trash. Got it.

@Hold_Junkie93 I'm 100% full believing that DOA6 is not the answer to being lucked out with it from whatever your buddy might say, if he mentioned previous DOA then that's a "maybe", I digged into Tekken quite a huge bit. Just because DOA is VF lite does not mean it's the conclusion to it all.

Tekken has its issues too. Think of it like this, we got instant rematch and other great lobby features. Lol Get Ready For The Next Battle.

@Awesmic But it was a ruse. You can literally ask Harada as well as Itagak on their social media. It's a marketing tactic. People actually fell for that, lol. The downside is that it created a harsh barrier between Tekken and DOA "communities". Blame both playerbase side for that one.

It's good to play multiple games. DOA is special clearly. But I'll lessen the current posts of banter for the posts that are actually posting.

I play DOA6, SCVI, and Tekken 7, and last time we spoke, you didn't even play SC. Where's all this sanctimonious grandstanding coming from?

@Brute - Soul Calibur? that game is not even in this discussion. I can't trash talk games I do not play but it seems to be doing well from what I read and spoke with community members.

Going into the main topic of this status and then back down these posts. Brute mentioned of Tekken being the king of the trash heap, which you might as well call it a compliment that DOA needs to do better so that it isn't part the trash heap (since it's technically at the bottom, this is not even a real discussion so you take it or leave it).
