There are two sides to are community. The ones that treat it like a fighter that enjoy the beauty of the game/ competitive scene. And the ones that do other.... I joined a room called deviantart.... Dude told me you actually know combos? get out please this was awhile ago 4 room lobby. You know how weird people can be about DOA on deviantart lol

Yea enjoying a fighting game might be very odd for them. To them they might be like you guys should be watching Ryona videos of DOA or fapping to DOA because that's what it's all about baby. lol. But the way they depict us tourney folk isn't accurate. They actually think we're a bunch of gatekeeping social justice elitists, leading to their disinterest in the fighting mechanics and embracing the sexual nature of the games if only out of spite.

There is a lot more to it, and everyone is different. Fighting games aren't popular enough like shooters, and other types of games where your average person you see on the daily most likely plays OverWatch, FortNite or some random AAA game. I knew of people who liked DOA the way you just expressed it, but as for why they do it. It has nothing to do with gatekeeping blah blah blah.

It was as simple as I think the girls are hot, and I don't like fighting games like that. Met a dude in DOA who found out about DOA through pornhub, but he said he likes DOAX better just because fighters are just to frustrating to get into.

Side note. I think the fan service is cool. I never had a problem with it in DOA been playing since dream cast as a kid. I even have a favorite girl. Christie she is the best girl it's that simple. But if you buy a fighting game for other reasons that's on you. Is it odd that some digital hotties made you spend 60 bucks? sure to me it is, but thanks for helping are game grow.
