Most MvC2 players don't like UMVC3 though, too much comeback factor and the system mechanics alone can make any character or player a threat, MvC2 has no such robbery and is the reason why alot of the old players stick with that title over UMVC3

I believe it. Though turns out the real reason was because it was to celebrate it's anniversary. On top that it's invites only for MvC2. I do feel pretty bad for the MK community as they grinded the hell out of their game. Even MK community is starting to feel that EVO is siding to a bit of favortism but hey, that's EVO for ya. EVO wouldn't be as it is today if it wasn't for games such as Marvel.

Marvel 2 20th anniversary. So it's a special addition. Dunno if it'll return next year. Doesn't feel like a main game with invite only. And Marvel 3 is shit quite frankly.

@Force_of_Nature Marvel 3 was a general strong game though. I have to remind people that over 70% of MvC2's roster are not viable unless they were carried by an infinite or certain tag assists. Justin will tell you that. Yipes will tell you that.

MvC3 has robbery, but MvC2 has been doing unchecked big robberies since day one. It's what makes it "Mahvel Babyyy"

Yeah, older Marvel games were pretty busted though Marvel 3's bustedness makes it feel scrubbier. Marvel 2 still released at a time when 2D fighters weren't exactly "accessible". Marvel 2 will be an interesting tribute.

In viewership, I prefer Marvel 2 more because infinites are allowed and it's animated sprites fast pace. It's pretty hardcore and the setups done for those in combo factoring is fun to watch. It's just that MvC3 seems to be the perfect candidate of Marvel games that "kept up with the times" while still celebrating Marvel Anniversary.
