You can't react to it, its just too fast, you can only predict/read it and if you decide to duck and he does a mid a.k.a make the wrong read then you might eat a ff3, a rage drive or a df2 which = big damage especially if Kazuya can carry you to a wall, an option would be to sidestep instead of trying to block or guess right on the 50/50 but yeah, that won't always happen now.

Add in the fact Murray thinks a character shouldn't get their options all sidestepped instead of carefully designing the movement in a way that benefits all characters. Movement is getting worse because they're too lazy to actually balance the game.

@KasumiLover Imagine if I threw a ball in front of you while we were standing right in front of one another. Now, at a random time I will throw but instead of throwing it simply, I could teleport behind you AND make the ball disappear a second as I threw. You'd feel cheated. That's how mix-up w/ a Hellsweep feels.

I mean, I did notice day 1 when I tried the game out that movement doesn't feel as good in this game as it did in Tag 2 or in 5/5DR however, after seeing how balanced the roster was in season 2 I was like: It's a fair trade-off I guess. Stuff's been going downhill since Leroy, are the next patches going to make this game worse? I hope not.

Its not only movement thats a big issue with this game currently, I feel that pokes really aren't as important in directing the tempo of a game as it used to be prior to season 3, almost every character got ways in order to carry an opponent to the wall much easier after a patch, almost every character can do half hp combos now, its nuts, the complete opposite of what Tekken used to be about.

Can't the hellsweep be stepped? The problem is, not every character has a viable sidestep.

They want people to play Tekken in a way that people perceive Tekken whom don't play Tekken. Same with anime games that will make things more SF-like to accommodate the perception that they should be more grounded and honest. Which in turns removes high combo count with low dmg to pokes with high dmg so people may win. Removing mix-ups (Overheads), n character tools. AAs will be easier and deny Xunders

@Radiance They removed da option to step it w/ da latest patch AND made EWGF harder to Duck n Punish due 2 a reduction in recovery. Lilli can step it still. Movement should b universal n not have an execution barrier. It's artificial difficulty. Imagine a race where your crew flattens ur tires a bit bc they think it's cheating 2 b standard. Pretend a fuel gauge is charged 4 like frame data.
