Nioh 2 is a good choice, since you can get plenty of customizations and create your own female (from a very good established game) with different range of outfits.
@Force_of_Nature actually its better to support DOA gacha game, than souls like game from TN, I liked Ninja Gaiden in past, but I don't get Ninja Gaiden vibe from that game (only hardcore when youu die 10 times, that's all)
@Onryoki What tasteless. TN can't just in one time to deny that DOA was the franchise that created TN themselves. No Ninja Gaiden, no Nioh. Ninja Gaiden was Tecmo thing, Nioh was Koei thing. The only thing they have DOA, and they killed it as fighting game. Ok, they revived both NG and Nioh, turned it into good franchises, but it's not their own created franchises.
If in future they decided to switch only for their new games , without reviving NG, forgetting about DOA, for me these developers will be retiring, no matter what great they will create. I support TN only for my beloved franchises. If it's will stop exist, then TN for me will stop exist too
You do realize that most of TN always had a focus to do things "more than just DOA" correct? and that's over 90% of them. DOA is a fighting game which is part of a niche genre, they can't continue to enforce DOA if the investment for it is piss poor vs other genres, it is perfectly normal to aim for new genres to test the water because they are popular.
TN also does not make the deciding factor of continuing DOA. Koei Tecmo does. Why is it that people have to constantly hold your hand on why TN does these things to begin with? it's as clear as day. A fighting game vs an action-oriented genre. It's not rocket science on why they chose to prioritize it more than a fighting game.
Tecmo merged with Koei to form Koei Tecmo. It's still the same people.
Ninja Gaiden also released for the OG Xbox and Nioh with the latest titles (minus Yoshizawa). Still the same people.
If Nioh decided to hit the backburner, then Nioh isn't life either lol. You say you don't care about TN yet you insist and continue to buy their products that fuels KT lol.
I like DOA as much as anyone, but dear heavens I will never obsess to the heavens for it lol. Obsessions leads to clouding your judgment. Obsession also leads to do things like this, but as they say, it's your money and time.
Maybe expand your library of games more so that you don't have to worry so much for what happens to it?
Same with Nioh, if Nioh somehow ended up in a not-so-great situation then oh well shit happens lel, on to the next because there is "always" better titles out there, luckily Nioh ended up pretty good so I support it, if it wasn't a good game then I wouldn't have supported it. Should be common sense at this point.
@marussya Way to go off topic on someone saying tasteless. TN wouldn't deny that DOA was what created TN, however DOA isn't always going to pull TN forward as a developer (especially if they make bad decisions like DOA6 and with some aid from KT) let alone be the only brand that TN makes.
Even TN said it themselves on articles that they wanted to make more different games. They are expanding their horizons which is a very good thing. Fighting games are too niche, and I can't blame any developer to take a break from it or shift away from it completely.
