I think the direction of Doa is to promote marie rose idc about the age thing tbh, People can argue about body types and etc but they don't really play fg's lol.

I don't think it's that deep. The issue is Marie looks and acts like a preteen, while Kasumi and Ayane at least carried themselves much more mature and looked older than 16 and 17 while Honoka and Marie and Nico don't, besides Honoka having oversized tits and an ass, it's all about how one carries themselves. That's why Amy and Talim in SC never get flak because they at least act mature

The difference between Marie and characters like Kasumi and Ayane is that Marie behaves like a whiny child and looks way more like one in comparison to Kasumi and Ayane. Their ages were revealed in DOA5, before DOA5 iirc correct me if I’m wrong their ages were unknown or classified. @KasumiLover said it beautifully “at least they carried themselves much more mature”.

You wouldn’t have known they were only 16 and 17 in DOA1-4 because of their maturity. NiCO only received hate for looking too anime and looking like Marie. Nico unlike Marie and Honoka, also behaves much more mature. Marie and Honoka get hate because they look and act like children. Also who’s many of the girls? The only underage girls were Kasumi, Ayane and Kokoro, lol.

Iirc ages were only hidden in the West but even then I had thought when I first saw Kasumi she was at least 19 and Ayane and Eliot and Kokoro were 18, but they're also way more developed too and it doesn't look like they're designed to be childlike, even Fiona in VV is short and 18 but she carries herself with alot more maturity than Marie and Honoka do

No that's not what we said at all xD you're definitely reaching, Kasumi and Ayane are acceptable because even if they're underage, they didnt play it up and act like children and were not developed like children, while Honoka and Marie both act and look the part, it's the execution that matters.

You can say Marie is 18 but the way she acts and looks makes it hard to believe is what we're saying, Lili was 16 in T5 but you wouldn't know because she carries herself maturely and isn't designed to look prepubescent, she's tall and her proportions are mature. Marie and Honoka are both short as children and they carry themselves as young girls and the way they dress and their proportions also add fuel
