Because....online gaming is more popular now. Then, online competitive gaming was something only viewed serious for shit like Quake and Unreal Tournament, CS. Online itself was still in its infancy, and was seen as just a bonus feature. Hell, Dreamcast had a Browser, still got the install disc. Online for any game now is standard and should be treated as such. COVID exposed how important it really was, more so.

Just saying, if it was that good then why is in not already a standard when people have been playing fighting games online since the PS3 and 360 days.

It just reminded me of Harada's response to people complaining about the input lag. No one complained before but why is it suddenly a hot topic all of a sudden. Before, it was input lag this and input lag that. Now it's rollback this and rollback that.

This FGC QoL stuff is a protest, nothing more, nothing less. Especially when we have numerous examples of how these things make FGs a more enjoyable experience for people that do in fact give a damn.

LMAO. How are you guys even protesting? By buying the game, playing it, and buying all the DLCs? Just like how the FGC loves to complain about DLC (it's been over 8 years now?) but supports it and defends it as well? All talk, no action. Remember when input lag was the hot topic and people still bought every single game that had it? A horrible offline experience is miles worse than an online one.
