it's stuff like that that ALMOST makes me wish VF characters came back, cause let me be blunt, I do not miss the VF characters in any capacity, BUT for the players who got nice with them who are just kinda lost now that they're gone, it's a little sad

I can do knees, iageri, etc. Nah, I fuck with DoA chars like LF, Hitomi, Mila, MR etc DoA6 just trash.

Nah. A part of me is glad Akira isn't back because of what DOA6 is in general. I still played DOA6 up until Kula dropped and 4 weeks after that, so my evidence was solid enough that Akira wasn't the problem (least for me). If I must sacrifice IQ to rely on gimmicks from DOA6 or sacrifice proper neutral, then Akira is better off not joining the game.

Would I still played the game if he was in? I'd be lying if I said no, but that would also mean I'd be playing the game out of spite. Left off with an untaken 79 winstreak that's still there against people that love those star and U rank colors so much from when I last played, stopped playing DOA6 competitively two years ago with no regrets.

Unfortunate for your friend though and reasonable, saves him the effort.

You know you don't like a game that despite you are winning, you still don't feel good about your Ws. I played consistently against friends such as Xcal, Kwiggles etc., and I still do not feel good winning any matches or even rounds against them.

It's also possible that I may be burned out from DOA in general, but I was also burned out from DOA5 and still played when it was active so doubtful.

Sounds like your friend is little bit too comfortable with Sarah from Virtua Fighter, and most likely if non of the VF cast was in DOA5 that person would've not likely played DOA. Most people shouldn't play a game just for favorite third party character since they have chances of being one time deal and not get included again.
