And 2k myteam is the most unrewarding online mode I ever played. Offline, I'm playing dream teams for silver cards and online's the biggest extreme of pay to win.

hitting up Discord for learning MU's is better for niche/smaller games, the players are more tight knit and willing to teach/learn, but if you hit up discord for learning in games as popular as SF,T7, or DBZF, shit is a waste of time, better off just grinding matches and labbing by yourself

It's so backwards. You'd think w/ more players there's more opportunities to learn and grow together, which is a reasonable thought process but nope. Like it makes no sense.

"We want our scene to grow and new players to join and help w/ the game." But at the same time "Learn this shii on your own and hope online doesn't turn you to the incredible hulk." Like what kinda shii is that??? That's how players go to League or Fortnite. This online learning shii sucks unless it's a small game which isn't bad but like what's the point? It's like me going from 2k to 3v3 Freestyle like...

Maybe you shouldn't use it then? Discord isn't gonna be a big help unless you're in a certain group and someone of a certain name is running it. You should just ask for help from people who use the characters in forums that are more active

Makes sense to me, the larger a fighting games fanbase, the more casuals you're going to run into who aren't necessarily in it to get better in any meaningful way, that's why using discord for games like SF, DBZF, T7 for learning is no good

but if you hit up discord for smaller games like say...Million Arthur Arcana Blood, the communities are way smaller but you know the majority of ppl who are still playing the game are in it for the long haul and are definitely down to level up with new players who're making the effort, it's just how these things go

but to games with larger scenes they're usually a million resources already out there on youtube and such that have already addressed w/e issue you're having, which is a luxury popular games have, if you have an issue with a MU in smaller game good luck finding a youtube video covering it lol

Even if you're a casual, that's again a good opportunity to link up, learn more, & appreciate a game. For example, I'm a casual nfl fan but if like Cam Newton asking people for casual games (even for his own personal reasons), best believe I'm taking that opportunity. Not comparing myself to Cam. But just saying. If one person wants to improve & the other just wants to have fun & learn, it's a possible win.
