Wow, people have gone total anti-sexuality these days if even this upsets them. Have they never seen a Korean-made game from the past decade? lol. I guess this is why Sony has its new policies. Maybe the game should have only been made for PC and Xbox. Kinda makes me nervous that this kind of sentiment makes DoA less desirable to make than any other time in its history.
Fortunately Japanese and Korean dev's don't really give two shits what westerners think. I just looked up the game and I don't really see anything wrong with it. Combat looks pretty sick. People who are upset at this probably never go outside. I see girls walking around in downtown Tampa dressed more provocative than the character in that game lol.
Whither they give a shit or not what they think, it has an effect on their development though. Read about how Sony's vague new policies in regards to sexuality in games actually affected Japanese developers (Senran Kagura's even decided to quit the series he created because of it) - https://tinyurl.com/tjbnw7u2 (I and some other think that Sony's policy actually affected Project Eve already)
Anyways, it's just a few randos in some thread right now (that vid gave them more attention than they deserve), it's not like some journalist put it on blast or anything, like DoA/Bayonetta has in the past. Hopefully it won't come to that though. Even then, it's not like they achieved anything, but it can feel crappy seeing games we like being blasted like that.
I'm getting this game, it looks awesome. I have no problem supporting high quality Korean games. Anyone that hates on this game because of the booty can go gouge their eyes out.
I don't know graphically the game looks pretty decent... But I can't help shake the feeling it's just gonna be generic ryona bait. the MC looking like the most basic KMMO character doesn't really help.
Huh, guess there's a lot of people who just aren't fans of Hyung Tae Kim's work... (Magna Carta, Blade and Soul, War of Genesis). Funny, I think he basically created the typical "sexy Korean character design" look. First Korean artist I ever heard of. Now it's like he's being labeled as a follower of his own style, lol. https://kojikisans.wordpress.com/hyung-tae-kim/
That said, I guess this is a bit less creative than is older designs (see pic). But that might be because his original design had to go through some changes. The look in the first trailer was very different from her latest look, maybe changed/removed things because they had to or story changes.
Anyways, I feel like this game is just a drop of water for people thirsty for Bayonetta 3, which I am. It's like Bayonetta in so many ways (though more scifi), but not as good. Just better in the graphics. I feel like her behind is getting more attention than it deserves, tbh. The gameplay bits actually had me the most interested.
It definitely gives off that vibe of a DMC x Bayonetta type game which I'm completely down for. Also, I had no idea magna carta characters were designed by a Korean artist.
