Glad it wasn't just me. I wasn't too excited about the gameplay I saw. I mean, it still looks fun, but I don't think it varies enough from Tekken 7.

yeah pretty much, like I dont wanna dampen anyone's hype but when I see it in motion my mind goes "yep, that's certainly a Tekken game, now with better graphics and install supers"
meanwhile SC6 has much more room for improvement when it comes to gameplay and graphics, and I feel like the leap between SC6 and SC7 will be more impressive than the leap between T7 and T8

As someone who has played the beta, it is quite literally Tekken 7.5 but with an actual budget.
the only real differences don't even stand out too often unless you avidly played all the previous Tekkens like no longer being able to combo off a magic 4, no more neutral block, nerfed low parry etc.
