Think it depends on the mentality. If it's the same DOA fans that are glad Shimbori left because he dipped to Tekken knowing that he has every right to leave with genuine reason, then those same fans probably don't deserve a new game.

The only thing that should be determined on if a DOA fan deserve a new game. Is based on their purchases from physical/digital copies, DLC/Microtransactions, merchandise, & game's lifespan (from DOA5 5 Years to DOAXVV 6 Years & still going). Like example Me with $404.98 DOAX3 Saikyou Edition, & spending $92 worth Season Pass & Paid V-Stones.

@Kasumi-Phase-X That's one way of looking at it, certainly. I got all the DLC for DOA6 (aside from all the hair colors and the Kasumi pre-order outfit), and I've also purchased two of the WonderfulWorks NiCO figures. It would be nice if that counted for something.

I HATE Fighting Game DLC's

There is just a strong mix of interesting players in every fighting game community. I personally just enjoy being a fan, but there are some that fight for the tier list and don't see the value of the character beyond their frame data, and that could never be me.

After all the complaining over DOA6 and then KT/TN subsequently ceasing support relatively soon after April 2020, it is a weird situation. The DOA franchise in general deserves a better fate, but at times the fanbase/gaming community can come off as a bit whiny and not show appreciation for things.

Instead of focusing on what DOA6 did right, everyone focused on what it did wrong which just soured the mood of almost everyone leading to negative vibes. Need more positive vibes.

To be really honest I'm pretty okay if DOA never gets a new game, I have access to all the previous games via emulation and Xbox Series X and can go back and play any DOA I want if I feel the urge. Plus Tekken 8 coming out and that is looking to be the best Tekken game in the whole series well maybe 2nd best T5DR still exists lol so I'm good for new games too.

This sounds like a trick question, so I'm gonna say I don't deserve a DOA fighting game by default. That's up to the devs whether they wanna make one or not.

Sorry but wtf do you mean with “do doa fans deserve it” as if it’s some privilege to have a DOA game which you already have paid for. I think TN/KT kinda owe us a new DOA game, if I’m being honest. Especially with how they and KT fumbled the ball completely with DOA6 and also with their business practices. Like having to buy the same DLC twice.

The fans of DOA have supported the game for a very long time, even the perverts are still supporting the franchise to this day by playing XVV. I like to believe we deserve a proper fighting game now. And maybe I am coming from a place of entitlement but I think we should be compensated for paying so much for an incomplete game which they stopped supporting after 14 months.

Sorry if this comes off as whining or whatever but that’s honestly how I feel about the entire situation.
