Usually this type of stuff results in these example scenarios because EVERY fighting game has these players:
1) No other game feels like Tekken so you'd rather not try anything else (which is actually reasonable to a degree) but if you reached the point of constant negative since you can't play anything else but Tekken, then you end up being a masochist on yourself playing the game out of spite.
2) Tekken has become a part of their revenue earnings because they make content out of it (youtubers, streamers etc.) and playing other 3Ds diminishes the rep because the viewers would rather only watch Tekken.
It's a spiral that eventually passes through, but Tekken is the prime example of seeing it in full display because it's the most popular 3D fighter.
For some, Tekken is their "job" (mainly content creation or competing) so they pretty much HAVE to stick with the new through thick and thin, which can be for the better or for the worse depending on the state of the game or its the only game they play when it comes to fighting games. I'm glad that I ended up playing many fighting games just because of this reason and also because
it gives me different perspectives as well as different flavors to enjoy, I really can't go back and just play 2-3 fighting games anymore, even though I have some that I like to play over others, just playing those would get a bit dull after a while.
I dont hate doa 6 I just hate what Shinbori did. I ve met a lot of cool people during my doa playtime past and present. One of them I m not gonna say who, but I think you know em preeeetty well. XP
Its better to let tekken 8 fade in the aether instead of hating it for subs. Hopefully, people can figure out that we are paying for their farm to table, table to plate, plate to fork, fork to mouth type meals.
This is me dealing with someone right now regarding Tekken 8 AND MK1. They swear S2 for Tekken 8 sucks, and MK1 is bad but still continues to grind the game competitively. Just doesn't make sense.
That was a very common thing in the Overwatch community as well, players and streamers would shit on Overwatch 2 profusely but still play the game anyway. Marvel Rivals has come out and some OW players have moved to that, but they'll probably return to OW once they discover that MR has the same issues as pre-role-queue OW.
With regards to Tekken 8, pretty much there aren't any other viable options to swap to and proceed to cry on the Internet. They're still in miles better condition than DOA or SC fans though.
