And I don't think Madagascar would be kicking free publicity and representation in the mouth (unless it was super obviously insensitive or ignorantly done, lol), how she looks would be a nitpick to them I guess.

eh, that's just twitter chatter, I wouldn't pay too much attention, although if im being honest most women from Southeast Africa don't look like tanned Japanese women so I can kinda see where some the complaints are coming from, but on the flipside, always nice to see African reps in popular videogames so I'm cool with it

She seems ok, tbh, I was surprised that we're getting a rep from Madagascar since didn't Harada say that the last character will be an original one and based on a region where Tekken is big? My mind instantly went towards Pakistan back when I heard this but who knows, maybe Tekken is very big in Madagascar as well (totally has no clue about anything regarding Madagascar).

Logging into X has scared me mentally for the past year. I can't believe how racist it has become and how the platform does nothing about it; almost like it's encouraged. I'm about done even considering the work I put in to get anywhere with that platform. I gave up.

Basically what happened was is that in the artwork she was more dark skinned due to color drawing usage, but this does not always correlate to the models in game along with key artists doing the modeling. Unreal Engine, lighting etc.

I think the problem is more with how they did character models in Tekken 8 in general. Fans have been complaining about same face syndrome and reused assets a lot for all characters, especially female ones.

Well I was more or less referring to Miary Zo ahaha. She could have same face syndrome, but people will just eat it up and buy her anyway so it's a difficult cause (if she did have same face templates).

Reused assets is a rather common thing to be quite honest, so Tekken doing that is no surprise to me lol. Majority of fighting games reuse assets so it is what it is personally.
