In my experience thus far, vanilla was actually more balanced than 5U (I know you play Eliot, so don't kill me).

Vanilla was far more balanced than doa5u. Only a very few characters I see winning tournaments at this point. Most characters you can forget about it. characters that are allowed to keep pressure an have pretty much brain dead vortex and don't care about the stun game are the ones winning.

Helena, Lei Fang, Christie, Ayane, Alpha and Rachel and the vf characters seem to be the only legit ones to likely place the highest. I already quit this game as a competitor. I will contnue to support onlne and offline, though.

Lei Fang didn't lose much from vanilla. She was really strong back then and she's still very strong now.

She is still brain dead like the other on that list. Ayane the only one I wouldnt call brain dead since what maks her good takes a lot of practice. Lei Fang is definitely brain dead. Oh i forgot about Gen Fu. Don't even get me started.

Gen Fu has to be one of the most infuriating characters to fight whoever designed him needs to be hit over the head with a blunt object.

It feels weird putting Ayane in the same sentence as Helena, Christie, Alpha and Rachel when it comes to braindead or unbalanced characters. There's a reason why you find a sea of Helena's and Christie's in tournaments and why Alpha and Rachel dominate at a high level. Ayane requires serious commitment for high level play and isn't merely a "sub" character.

I only put Ayane as far as tournament worthy. I've already stated that she was not brain dead.

Ayane....? She's good for whiffing, keep out, and poking from range, but I don't think she has the tools that makes her godly like the other mentioned character. I'm sure Gen Fu should be up there too since he does have his air throw blender. He's actually better from he vanilla counterpart.
