True, but the little things add up to. As an Ein player I can't wrap my mind around it... and a lot of things. Perhaps it would be better to be ignorant and take the approach vets have where I just suck and Ein is actually just as good as he was in all the other DOAs.
Yeah Momiji has a lot of moves shared with other characters. As for Ein, I honestly don't think TN had any intention of making him "good" and balanced. Same with Eliot.
It doesn't help that TN refuses to evolve the character and instead simply copy and paste him in each new installment with minor property changes to his moves that are usually nerfed from his previous version.
Ein's definitely not God tier compared to Eliot. Eliot is bad but not that bad. No one is "horrible" in 5U, but Eliot is pretty bad and Ein isn't that great either.
He's not the fastest but I can't consider a character but as Tenryuga also said, I can't consider a character with a reset throw, launch throw, i9 high, parries, and 50/50s that horrible.
Eliot vs Ein is pretty even. Ein has better zoning, tracking, stun launch game and his OHs while Eliot has better defensive tools, GBs, parries, launcher throw and reset throw. overall both are around the same speed with similar damage output.
