Marie Rose was used fairly regularly at ECT. Phase 4 is clearly lacking but Marie Rose is a perfectly fine character that delivered what was expected. No character ever lives up to their ludicrous hype, and I doubt NyoTengu will too.

@Force_of_Nature Lol, i didn't play with her much so I don't really know what she's capable of. I think NyoTengu Might live up to her hype and deliver what's expected from what We've seen so far.

It really doesnt matter to me that people dropped them online. Just think about the good thing, we will most likely see P4 at tournaments by most likely Calibur Bladez or Shade.

Xcal is amazing with everyone but I can't see him sticking to P4 offline. Marie Rose at least isn't a bad character.

MR isn't bad, i just think that she failed to "Grab" people enough for them to stick with her.

Oh come on Force, Xcal used Momiji and Rachel at tournaments when they first arrived...... but then again they arent exactly terrible and Rachel was broken as hell.....

People aren't saying you shouldn't be hyped. They're saying you shouldn't claim to main a character you haven't even played yet.

I'm not hyped cuz I know I'm not gonna buy Nyo-Tengu. I haven't gotten Marie Rose nor Phase-4, so odds of me getting Tengu are 0.

Saying that you'll drop the character is no more silly than saying you've already picked her up.

I have to buy Nyotengu for the Xbox, 'cause it's the only version I have that is the full version. But I'm using her strictly to appease certain people with that old woman thirst through my ryona videos.

Well stick with NyoTengu and train with her. My buddy still uses Marie Rose and has used her since her release. It doesn't change the fact that a shitload of people that are currently into NyoTengu are gunna drop her after the first week or month unless she ends up stupidly broken like Vanilla Rachel. Look how Marie Rose & Phase-4 turned out. I have no reason to believe NyoTengu would be any different.

Phase 4 is understandable because i played and experimented with her A LOT and i know and understand her weaknesses and struggles. MR on the other hand, i don't understand why people dropped her

Because the hype died down, the loli fans eventually got bored and people realized that she's a very average character.

Go ahead and name a few mid tier characters that are played frequently in competitive events.
