And then there's the damn online buffer problem with ANYTHING coming out of PP. Not that that's Ryu-specific, but it does kill my close-range game. Trying to work on that.
I've been playing his Ryu lately, online and all, but his Hayabusa is a monster. Most damaging juggles, every single hold is an advanced hold to launch me into the air, and if you're unlucky enough to have to fight him on the Temple of the Dragon or Home stage indoors... *shivers*
He complimented me on my Akira and I beat him a good few times as well. He wins the majority, but as scary as his holds are, he respects Akira's 16F+P enough not to spam it. In the case that he does I get a free mixup every time.
Yea I feel ya Brute but if Manny can do it, you can too. He's talented I'll give him that, but games do have limitations, that being a characters range, or recovery on his moves, etc. Everyones got that. Now I won't ask you to advance hold(because I like the normal punch hold animations), but I really think you should look into learning a more aggressive approach.
6p4 may not be the fastest move in the books, but it's a great move in general, I see Master use it all the time. Frankly it feels like everyone should know it's coming. If I'm playing Hayate, I'm probably gunna go for a 1k if he comes in with that. Instant tech crouch and good stun, to start my mixups(probably 6p which will put me into a ceiling or izuna drop)
but that scenario is only because i'm predictable as Hayate. But back to Hayabusa, his 6k also comes out pretty fast too. It's unfortunate that it's not a block break(coughbutithinkitiscough). I already ran through the options but Ryu's got a lot of bad ass stuff to put the pressure on.
But you know what? I'm not gunna give either of you guys my complete props still you get the Ongyion Command Grab in a real fight. I wanna see that shit cause it's sexy. Zeo, tell Master to post that for one of his fans(me)
I agree. I'm very aggressive with my wall-game, either using 2P9P or 9K to stay in tight and keep the wall pressure going. But in the open, I have a perverted fear of wake-up kicks, seeing as it's only a 33% chance I can guess 'em right. Naturally, the choice is to go 7P, but that puts him in ongyoin and paralyzes my opponent who goes "oh no, but turtle back here. He's got ongyoin!"
yo. get online really quick. I wanna see if His Ongyoin parry can beat a mid wake up kick. Also I wanna go a few rounds before I leave to stay at my job for the hurricane coming in.
Do you only use the Dpad on the ps3 controller? or Analog stick also. I go all Dpad. I think master does too. It's easier to get quarter circles, and half circles correctly that way. I can do Hayabusa's command grab on the fly now(k maybe not on the fly... cause i'm like... scared.
